Step One: Initial Thoughts
I'll go first.
I accept The Big Bang Theory as a scientific fact.
I accept The Big Bang Theory as a scientific fact.
I'll totally do this. I just have to come up with the thinkg I feel strongest about. It's hard, I feel so strongly about a lot of things :)
That's totally fine. You only have to pick one :).
I beleive that there should be a logical explanation for everything, but when it's about how everything came into being... God was the one who started it off.
I'm glad we've gotten some people interested in this thread :). I hope to see more posts before the end of the week. The more people we have participating, the more fun it will be :).
Well, I can't reveal the next step, because I think it might compromise this one :P. You *can* put more than one view if you want, but I am only putting one. You're more than welcome to put multiple if you want, though :).
I beleive that God created girls AND boys for a reason; if He wanted to allow gays/lesi's then he wld've just created one sex.
Hey guys :). Don't forget to post your initial thought :).
I just mean to give me one opinion you have; your first thought about a particular subject. Mine was that I accept the Big Bang Theory as a scientifically proven fact.
Hey Guys, don't forget to post your initial thought :).
Ok on a more serious note...hmmmmmmm lets see. Ok My My intial thought: Is that everything has a consequence.
(some natural some otherwise some good some bad)
Like karma? And is your sister younger than you? because if she is i can empathise with having an annoying younger sister -_- lol.

Yeah kinda like karma.
I think that we, as people, experience most of our lives through symbols and labels, and that these symbols and labels can prevent us from looking at the deeper meanings behind them. However, they can also assist us in finding patterns and coming to different conclusions. So, step 2?
Well, Rachel. I was trying to wait for more people to post :P. I thought this thread would have had a lot more activity on it . . . and it should prove to be vastly entertaining if we get more people involved.
I'll post Step Two in a few days, even if no one else has posted.

I am passionate about violence against women. As a survivor of spousal battering for 10 long years and as a founding member of The Manchester(NH) Women's Crises Service and the keynote speaker at the 1982 NH Take Back the Night rally and as public speaker on these issues for 6 yrs I still counsel battered women, I still contribute to the crises service and I will speak out! I will never suffer in silence again. Words are powerful weapons and I will use them.
I am passionate about women's history...there is not enough of it in public schools until you hit college. Primary & high school texts have probably 50 famous men for every famous woman. partly that is because history counts male oriented events such as war, hierarchal power etc etc. anybody have any thoughts about this?
i am passionate about the art of killing. this topic interests me so much! at the present time..there are wars everywhere, crimes and killings and deaths. different places around the globe. different situations. different causes. but in the end it all comes down to killings and deaths. no two deaths are alike.
I am passionate about life: no 2 lives are the same. everyone's experiences are unique to them because their responses are unique to them. diversity in all its glory. Jesus' commandment: "love one another as I have loved you" . I don't think this violence, anger, hate is what he had in mind. intolerance is a great sin.
michele, we may have different interests..i hope this won't stop us from being friends...though the topic that more appeals to me is death and killing...i' interested in life...human life is quite special. an individual's life could affect a country's survival or end. this single life could affect everything..i'm taking up anthropology...and i know how important life is and how the end of someone's life could affect a society, a government, a nation... i would love to discuss with you my notion on life and death, if you're interested and if you could spare a few minutes of your time...
*LOL*..looks like i'm making a speech here. so that's it!
thanks, megamarie. my life has been full of everything. and never boring. live it. I love talking to people, young, old in between. talking and writing letters are my 2nd and 3rd favorite things to do. last posting until after christmas: going to my sister'ss for the 1st time in 26 yrs!
is it too late to post a thought?
if it isnt, i strongly believe in the middle path. as in, i dont believe in black and white, pure good and pure evil, extreme opinions in any direction and things like that. life is balanced and even and has mixes of both sides in everything.

Step One:
Choose one topic you are truly passionate about. It can be something we've previously discussed.
Post your initial feelings on that topic.
That's it. No discussing any of the posts. This topic is just to put your initial thought down.
I hope you'll accept this challenge. I think it will be great fun if we get a lot of people involved :).
I will leave this topic open for . . . about a week, so we can get everyone's initial thoughts. Then we'll move on to Step Two.
