Uglies by Scott Westerfeld discussion

For people that have read Specials- I found the last chapter with scott westerfeld's own comments about things he wrote, in footnotes!! I found out a bunch of stuff I didn't know before!! Here's the amazing link:

i luv the end, where he's like "the last word in uglies is 'pretty', the last word in pretties is 'special', and the last word in specials is 'ugly'. and then the last word in extras is.... um... 'cake'." LOL. XD

yeah that was funny. LOL. XD

It's sad that the only time that Tally told David she loved him is when delivering a message from his mother, so it wasn't even her own words. :(

At least she never said I love you to Zane, the idiot.

ummmmmm well he said 'i love you' and she's like 'uhhh me too.' but idk if that counts cuz it didn't seem like she really meant it... yeah that is pretty pathetic, the whole delivering-the-i-love-you from his MOM. that is just SAD. XD

Darn...well at least she never actually said the words "i love you" to zane. humph.

yeah its really sad that it was from his mom. wow. at least it looked like tally wanted to say it herself, coz she swallowed. and we all know how much swallowing is really saying "i want to say i love you..." ;)

I think when she said, "I love you." from his mom, she means it both from his mom AND her. I've always imagined it that way. I like happy endings. :D

She "basically" said I love You to David. She never really said I love you to Zane, and even if she had, she never meant it. Even with that You know Scott wants her with David.

well zane was like "i luv you" and she was like "uhh sure me too" – like she obviously didn't really mean it ... but she literally said "i love you" to david, even if it was a message from his mom. it TOTALLY had a double meaning ;)
