The Complete Idiots Guide to the Ultimate Reading List discussion

Hey everyone, I noticed that the "currently reading" list looks a little dated and I would be interested in reading one or two books from the list each month if anyone else is interested? We could nominate books or just choose a number at random? I have never heard of 80% of the books (hahaha) so I am not sure how this ulitmate list was put together, not the usual classics I guess. Anyways, I am game for picking one or two books if other people in the group are, I created my own progress list of the chapters up through horror, I think that list is long enough for me right now :-)

I love this idea too! I think we might even be able to do polls too, but I'm not actually sure (there's a lot I don't know about this site...)

I'm interested as well, but I'm in other clubs as well, so just one book for me. And, yes, we can do a poll. The moderator has to set that up.

Trisha, I think this is a great idea. I'm game. I think that would be a fun way of working through the list.

I'll suggest In the Name of the Rose. I know I'm probably the only one who hasn't read it. Just a suggestion.

I've not read that one either, Lynn so I will second it.

I'm just really glad to see some activity again. I love working through the list, but it is much more fun to have a group of active buddies to do it with.

I've updated the current reading list to reflect th book we talked about last week: The Name of the Rose. It will be our May book and I will open the discussion starting on the 1st.

I've just been added as a moderator so please let me know if you see anything else to be updated or anything else you would like added (suggestions or whatnot). I've never ran a group (or know my way around goodreads) so any help or advice is very welcomed!

Am I loosing it? I thought we had the current book club selection for may showing, The Name of the Rose, but now don't see it. Wasn't it there earlier?

i've been updating the reading list and trying for votes but it doesn't appear many are still active. I'll keep an eye on the group, but I'm going to remove our "group reads" Please let me know if you want to continue the group.
