Hi, I'm Heather as well. I'm from the States, but my grandmother is from Glasgow and we just got back from a trip to the Motherwell/Cambuslang area where her parents lived before she was born.
Unfortunately one of the locations we had waited years to see is now....A sewage treatment plant (we were the stupid Americans crying and taking pictures of it anyway). But whatever; it was an amazing trip.
Anyway, I can't wait to go back and I hope to keep a connection while I'm away, through books.
