If you want to read up about Goodreads and what the site, it's members, and it's staff are all about, poke through the About Us page!
Although the site's main goal is to get people excited about reading, there are several groups that don't talk about reading at all. It can be a place to write and share stories, chat, take polls and quizzes, and make friends.
Some common Goodreads etiquette is: ~ Don't spam. Spam is irrelevant or unwanted posts. If you must spam, there are several topics and even entire groups devoted to it. ~ Try to spell correctly and use propper grammar. ~ Be respectful of groups and their members, rules, and moderators. ~ Cussing is prohibited in many, but not all, places. ~ Don't release your or any one else's personal information such as name, address, ect. ~ If someone has writen an inapropreate comment, review, story, or something else, flag it. Use the little gray "flag" botton in the lower right hand corner. Read the guidelines to make sure that it is flag-able.
