The only book I read from austria was danger down under. It was about a foriegn exchange student stopping a murderer. It was a chapter book for older kids, but not teens. I forget who the author is.
Just added Lithuania for the last book I finished. We're slowly, but surely adding new countries.
I added some books a a couple of countriesTo Turkey, I added Snow.
To Ireland, I added Pomegranate Soup and Rosewater and Soda Bread
To Afganistan, I added The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns
To Egypt, I added Mirrors, The Thief and the Dogs, and The Yacoubian Building
To France, I added The Elegance of the Hedgehog
To India, I added The Inheritance of Loss
To New Zealand, I added The Bone People
To Russia, I added Anna Karenina
I created "czech republic" and added The Unbearable Lightness of Being
I created "algeria" and added The Plague
I'll probably come back and add some more later.
Are there any plans in doing other settings like beach or lake settings, small town, fantasy world, major cities or something like these?
ok. I'm in the middle of other projects but I will be happy to work on it when I get some extra time. Thanks.
That sounds like a great idea, Pamela! I think I can add "small town," as I have a shelf entitled "small-town-lovin."
gues gr has another bug ☺ Do you have to have add a book to add a shelf? I was going to add beaches and jungle. I have a jungle love shelf so I can add jungle books but I don't know of any beaches offhand.
What do you define as beaches? One on the cover, or specifically mentioned in the story, as in a beach with a name.
located on the beach, like a beach house or the beach is featured prominently in the story. I can think of a couple but the names aren't coming to me yet.
I would add more but computer is slow and takes like 5 minutes to log in one. lol. maybe a slight exaggeration.

I'm going to add city, work, high school, college, and hospital.added! and at least a book for each setting
How do you rename the shelf if you made a mistake in naming it? I typed South Corea instead of Korea. I also noticed a bookshelf Budapest and since all other shelves are named after the countries and not the cities, it would be better to rename it in Hungary. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest

Look to the left hand side where the shlves are listed and at the top is an edit. Click and it will take you to the edit page.
Have been adding books sporadically. I need to be more diligent about doing it as I finish books, so I have a better chance of remembering! LOL!Added a shelf for at-sea. Which makes me wonder if shelves for specific bodies of water might be useful (pacific-ocean, atlantic-ocean, etc.) but I don't have titles to add at the moment, so it is just a thought.
It is great to see this group is still being used. I need to be better about adding my books as well.
I'd say wait until you have a book set in a specific body of water before adding the shelf, but it can't hurt to have the detail.

Have added many titles to the shelves for various countries and US states. Have also added shelves (with titles, of course!) for "moon" and "mars". This is becoming a bit of a fun challenge for me, actually. I know that I've read books set in a particular state, for example, in my pre-goodreads days - now I need to dig up those titles and get them added to this group and to my goodreads! :-)
I added Kim to the 19th century, India shelf, at least, I think I did. I started reading it Christmas day, after I had started a Mary Russell & Sherlock Holmes series book called The Game. I switched over to Kim because there is a tie-in to the classic character and I have wanted to read Kim for a long time.
I have not seen a lot of posts in this group, but I have had it on my group list for a while now. Is anyone still posting?
