I am currently reading Life as We Knew It. I don't normally have a problem with books affecting my everythought, but this book really does. I feel that I am running out of food, and the electricity could go off any moment, and I have to protect my children more than normal. Its very strange.

I just startedBefore Midnight: A Retelling of "Cinderella" but I haven't decided if I'll finish it or not. :-) If I think I'm not going to like a book, I will stop reading it. I'm looking for YA books I feel good about recommending on my blog.I'm also reading A Hope Undaunted and since I've liked all of this author's other books, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to recommend this one. It's technically not a YA, but she has a lot of teen fans.
I mostly like historicals. I like fairy tale retellings, but they have to have a lot of realism, because I'm not that into fantasy.

I've just started two new ones. I'm listening to Mockingbird about a girl with Aspergers and reading Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow which I've been putting off forever. Now that I've finally started it, it's great. I'm a very moody reader, haha...

It's a retelling of a folk tale I believe. I know there are a couple out there based on the same one. East is another. I'm enjoying Sun and Moon so far.
I've been wanting to read that bookSun and Moon, Ice and Snow.I liked that author, Jessica Day George's book Princess of the Midnight Ball.
It was really good. My library doesn't have Sun and Moon, so I'll have to try to buy it when I can. :-)

I just finished it. I really enjoyed it! It definitely has fantasy elements, but didn't feel over the top.
I haven't read anything else by JDG, I'll have to check out Princess of the Midnight Ball!
Jessica Day George is one of my favorite fantasy authors. Dragon Slippers is good as well :) I loved Sun and Moon and Princess of the Midnight Ball as well. I am looking forward to reading Princess of Glass.
Gearing up for the release of Last Sacrifice, the final book in the Vampire Academy series! I am currently reading Shadow Kiss, the third book in the series.
I am currently reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time bye Mark Haddon ive just started it. It is very different from what i love which is fantasy so idk if i will like it has anyone read it?
Laura wrote: "I am currently reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time bye Mark Haddon ive just started it. I had to read it for one of my college classes
I currently reading The Replacement by Brenna Yonanoff its descibed as dark and eerie but I haven't seen either maybe its me. The Hourglass door snore,Friday night bites by Chloe Neill awesome, and Iam number four by Pictaus Lore
Im currently reading Kiss me, Kill me. I just started it today, but it seems pretty interesting so far(:
I will show you when I get home! lol! Its about Disneyworld after dark and the characters come alive. The evils are trying to take over and 5 kids need to save Disneyworld before they learn to leave and and cause trouble outside of Disneyworld. Its pretty good so far.
Haha, yeah, I like it. Did you read her other books? This is a prequel to that.. but I read them so long ago, I cant really remember things... like.. I feel like I should know who some of these people or names are.. but I cant remember. I think I like it more than the other series.. because.. that whole incesty plotline was stupid, imo.
I am going to start reading The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima. There are 3 books in the series that I know of.

I like Sci Fi mostly (dystopian stuff- since its popular now) so it was diffrent for me too.
I have now moved on to Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side and The Reformed Vampire Support Group

I actually really liked the book. Its been one of the best I have read in a long time.

Are those books appropriate for 6-8 middle school library?
Ann wrote: "Jenn Renee wrote: "AngelaSunshine wrote: "Jenn Renee wrote: "I have now moved on to Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side and The Reformed Vampire Support Group"..."I am not sure if I am the one to answer if it’s appropriate for those age groups. There really is nothing in the book that I would consider not appropriate for the age group however there are a couple "romance scenes" that are a little intense. I would say I would allow my daughter at the age of 14 to read but not any younger, but I am more picky than most over what my children read. I would say it’s comparable to Twilight, if that helps. Sorry for the rambling!
Kayla wrote: "I am currently reading Beautiful Creatures and Tiger's Curse"I love Beatiful Creatures. How is Tigers Curse. I thought that one looked interesting.
I just started Darklight
Tiger's Curse is very good so far, I've been reading it to my fiance, so we're still just getting into it, but we're on chapter 10.and i'm now reading
I just re-read When it Happens by Sussane Colasanti and i was wondering if anyone new of any other books like it with 2 protagonists (hero and heroine) but still YA books?
I'm reading Please Ignore Vera Dietz and Flash Burnout. Anyone read either of these? I really want to read Nightshade soon. Looks great!

down, it sucked me in from page 1. I still have yet to read the rest though. :)And I enjoyed
, i've read all the way up to book 4 or 5 i think. it started to get boring reading about this woman talking on and on and on. ><
I really like the soul screamer series. I didn't expect it to be so good. It sucked me in from page one also. I really liked Glass Houses and will continue the series.
I'm reading:
and really liking it. I wasn't sure I would because a lot of people said the beginning is really slow. It's true, not much happens in the first 300 pages, but I still found it really intriguing.
