Debbie Macomber has created a perfectly charming yuletime tale with The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber The Perfect Christmas. This book is the story of best friends and co-workers Cassie and Angie who both feel the biological clock ticking away. Angie's mother arranges for her to meet matchmaker and psychologist Simon Dodson. Dodson rejects Angie as a client because he says that she is in love with someone else. Angie mentions Dodson to her best friend Cassie who immediately makes an appointment to see the matchmaker. Cassie gets more than she bargained for when she visits Dodson who sets out three tasks for her to perform before he will arrange for her to meet a suitable mate. In time, Cassie figures out what she really wants for Christmas in this light-hearted seasonal read that will put you into the holiday mood. I am giving this book four stars.

Kristie | 166 comments I gave this book 3 stars, I thought it was a cute quick read but the plot was very obvious. It read more like a long short story to me and I feel like I don't really have a feel for the characters. But over all it was a sweet and a good book for the holidays.

Concur. Definitely more of a novella than a novel.

Natasha (bookniblet) | 41 comments I agree... I found myself trying to create a twist that was not to be... The characters were shallow or flat, but I believe it was meant to be a light quick read and I enjoyed it as such. I like that Cassie ended up with her money and the guy...lol...(although it sounds like she has her work cut out for her...:)
