Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Atumn got me thinking this would be a good thread.

Can you think of which LK hero would be your perfect match?

message 2: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 828 comments Can I ask who would be a good match for me? I need someone who has a very strong personality, that won't let me get away with everything, that listens to my ideas and is very loving. Who would it be?

message 3: by Megan (last edited Dec 03, 2010 07:51AM) (new)

Megan | 546 comments My perfect match would be either Cam or Jack Travis, or both! lol. I guess I should say my husbands personality is more like Leo's. He is constantly teasing me. oh well, I'll just take all 3, haha.

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments Uh, Gage... and then Jack Devlin when Gage needed to travel for business.

:-)

And just so all ya'll ladies know, Gage is not the answer to this question for YOU!

message 5: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Katherine, that sounds like Westcliff, although I think he would tell you what to do, even if he did listen to your ideas. :)

Bekah, are you staking a claim on Gage? :)

message 6: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 828 comments Danielle, that's what I was afraid of. LOL I so wanted Simon or Vincent. :)

message 7: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I just want there to be no doubt about who he belongs to.

thats all.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) I think Harry since Westcliff appears to be taken. I adore Vinnie but I know I'd have to fight too many to get him.

message 9: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Katherine, I know your pain. I would love St. Vinny or Simon, but I don't think they are right for me.

message 10: by Annie (new)

Annie (annjordan) | 73 comments Jack Travis!! He's my man.

Fani *loves angst* (fanip) I'd really like to say St Vincent, but actually I think Matthew Swift or Simon would be ideal for me. I like men who are openly devoted to their wives but also firm and strong when there is need.

message 12: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments I would have to go with Matthew, or possibly Cam. Matthew is strong but grounded, and Cam is grounded, but whimsical and can think outside of the box.

message 13: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) While I love Hardy, Simon Hunt, Kev, and St. Vincent -- four of my faves, they are good at taking care of their heroines, and unforunately (?) I tend to be pretty dominant myself -- so as far as a match, I am thinking Cam or Marcus (Westcilff) -- they both are very attractive to me and seem to like and are with stronger dominant women. :)

I am thinking Cam or Marcus. :)

message 15: by D.G. (last edited Dec 03, 2010 10:02AM) (new)

D.G. I love Kev but I don't think he would be right for me either. ;)

These ones would be good fit for me, I think:
Leo (witty and artistic)
Cam (he's strong but laid back)
Zachary Bronson (strong, earthy, and entreprenurial.)

I wouldn't like anybody with a title - I'm not the type for fanfarre - but Leo grew up a commoner and still behaves like that in some respects (letting his sisters marry gypsies! totally shocking!)

message 16: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 871 comments Zack Bronson...he is the most like my real-life hubby.

message 17: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Okay -- which book is Zack in ?

message 19: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Thanks!

message 20: by MashJ (last edited Dec 04, 2010 12:36AM) (new)

MashJ | 733 comments Well my favourites to date are probably Simon Hunt, Cam Roham, Nick Gentry and Alex Raiford.

Of those I think Simon would be just too driven for me and Alex is way to obsessive to live with comfortably.

So for me it would be between Cam and Nick. The drawback about Nick would be his dislike of the country but I could really live with his sense of adventure and risk taking. Cam's love of the outdoors and laid back nature are wonderful and I think he'd be pretty easy to live with.

Given that Cam may well already be taken I can see a lot of appeal to Nick - that wilder living side and the need to kick over the traces really appeals. I'm also bit of a risk taker so we could have some adventures together.

♥ℳelody (melodiousimagination) | 314 comments Hmmm I would have to say I would want someone like Christopher Phelan because of his patience, his sense of humor, passion and oh yeah! tolerating my tendency to ramble and my curiosity about things. And of course an animal lover. Big plus for me! I swear to g-d while reading that book it was like 'where can I find YOU?'

I wouldn't mind a little bit of Leo as well. His wit and artistic talent are also two things I'd love in a man.

Oh hell it's hard to chose cause Kleypas has so many lovable guys.

You didn't find his excesses offputting?

message 23: by Julianna (new)

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 380 comments This question is so easy, peasy for me. My favorite LK hero (at least that I've read so far) is also my perfect match. If my husband were a fictional character, he would be Matthew Swift.;-) Marcus is a very close second with lots of similarities too.

message 24: by E. (new)

E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments The ones that are most favorable in my eyes are: Cam Rohan, Marcus Marsden, and Leo Hart. I hadn't read a lot of LK books, so I'm only choosing the ones that I like.

There are some aspects of Cam that I can relate to, and I think we'll suit each other. Marcus is in-between Cam and Leo in some aspects, so it would be a good match also for me. Leo is amusing; I think we can handle each other.

Oh, and I must not forget Matthew Swift. He's a darling and I think we can get along well together.

Hmmm, somehow I must start reading LK's contemporaries so that I can broaden my LK heroes. Someday.

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I too, haven't read all of her books yet either. Which book is Matthew Swift from?

Scandal in Spring in Bekah.

What excesses? have I forgotten somehting? Its been a few year since I read this book....

Shannonreads like crazy | 8 comments Can I pick more than one!

Marcus, Matthew, Nick, Cam, Alex - all appeal to me in different ways

message 30: by Danielle The Book Huntress , Certifiable St. Vinnie's Ninny (new)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 3737 comments Sure, Shannonreads.

Are they all right for you, or do you just love them?

For example: I love St. Vincent, but we wouldn't be a good match in real life.

Maybe Msj means because he was a fighter and liked women and stuff (remember how energetic he was.) I just loved him. I like manly men. Sigh...........

Shannonreads like crazy | 8 comments I just love them. IRL, they would probably drive me nuts. My dh is like Leo so that is probably my best match IRL.

Marcus is my dream type but IRL I would be screaming "loosen up"

Sorry- I think I replied in the book thread. I wasn't so keen on his 3 in a bed approach to "romance" prior to Holly. I also couldn't live with his architectural taste- all that bling!!

Actually, all those things made him more human to me. I get tired sometimes of the perfect hero who has perfect taste and dresses perfectly well, which seems to happen all the time in historical romance. That he seemed to need some help in the taste department made him more relatable and normal to me. Also, most men dream of threesomes...that he managed it often just got an 'Atta boy' from me, LOL!

Well, I tink I related to Zack because my hubby is/was a fighter...he plays hockey and well, tends to tho his fists around from time to time(more so about 20 years ago...LOL)! the fact that we was so good with Holly's daughter really got me(the whole botton thing)...and he needed Holly, that was the best!
