I agree with you jake! He was sooo awesome! He WAS supposed to live.
And I'm also pretty mad that they made Light die I wanted them to let him live for at least a few more episodes ^^
Nah, I wasn't that mad when Light died. I actually wanted him dead...:/

I kinda understand why L had to die.
Doesn't mean that I don't LOVE HIM!!! I wish that he DIDN'T have to die, but I can't control that.
'Cause Light had to drive them all insane and bring new characters into the mix. L was close to figuring it out, ending the series, but if NEAR came in, then it adds a whole new story plot and episodes into the mush pot.

yes. my friend came up with an idea that would make him live which is.....Naomi Misora doesn't actually die because there was a glitch in the death note (she loves computers) and then she gets a hold of the death note, drops it in holy water and the death note then brings people to life instead of killing them.
