Hi Deni,Thanks a lot for the list. I have read almost all the books of Christie, but obviously nt in the given order. So started again according to this.
Taking in account that, as a group, we're reading her 5th book, it's going to taking about 7 years for us to read them all!! :o)
Thanks for putting together the list. I am just thrilled that I finally got Poirot Investigates. For some reason our library system has lots of DVD's but not her books
I'm still using your list for reference and check it every month. I'll list a few of the books as TBR's for the upcoming months. I really appreciate all your work Deni!
and I really appreciate yours Carolyn!!, you're the one updating the group's TBR list, so thanks! :o)
Great list, Deni. I have read most of them but there were a couple of which I was unfamiliar....will have to look for them. I have not read Curtain and probably won't. I know that Poirot finally had to be put to rest but I am trying to ignore it!!!!!!I am especially fond of the Harley Quin stories and wish she had written more of them.
I haven't read Curtain yet neither... I'm trying to read them in order so it's going to be a while until I get there!!; I have Curtain at home, so it's quite difficult to resist temptation!!!!! :oP
Curtain is a great story! Even more so, because it was written by Christie while she was still in her prime.
Curtain is very satisfying. She did a nice job of wrapping up Poirot's career. I still cried though.
It showed he was the master right up to the very end.
And Then There Were None will be our July 2013 according to my going through the months on the fly.
Me too Cecilia, I refer to it constantly. She even has them listed better than Wikipedia which has the novels then the short stories but not integrated. This is much easier to follow.
Thanks for this list. I've read some of these books but want to start over in order so thanks again!
The list is great. I thought I'd read them all but see a few I may have missed, although it is uncertain because so many of her books have been published under different titles. This will be something to check into.
That's a problem for me too Sharla - I might have read it under a different title already. Members have been good about letting me know on the monthly reads when the books are listed under different names, so I've been adding those as I go. Wikipedia does list some of the other titles too. It's hard to keep it all straight.
This month marks the 4th anniversary of us reading "THE LIST" as a group and we've read 48 books together so far, so congratulations, everyone!

Joined this group a few months ago but just discovered "the list" today. Great resource. Thank you.

Missing book from this list:
1997: While the Light Lasts
Carolyn F. wrote: "1997? She had a book out in 1997?"It was RELEASED in 1997, yes. Just as Sleeping Murder was released in 1976 after her death and so was her auto-bio in 1977. Posthumous releases of books and films is nothing new...
While the Light Lasts and Other Stories
There were actually 2 others, one released only in the USA and another only in the UK. The reasons are that in the other countries, the stories had been previously released.
The Harlequin Tea Set and Other Stories USA
Problem at Pollensa Bay and Other Stories UK
Interesting. Well I need to update the monthly BOMs for 2022, so I'll make a note of this. Thanks for the info Thom.
Oh my God! I am doing just the same reading everything in sequence this year! I ordered the book and is eagerly waiting for the book "And then they were none" ! (which for some reason is not available on Kindle in my region)I have the sequential list printed out just like you and I strike them off as I complete them. I will compare this to see if I have missed anything.
My goals is to complete all of them by end of this year! So far
PS: They have a formatted reading list now, I think I prefer your list version better!

And thanks for the tip of the missing books!
And I am seeing these books in the new list as well ...!Hercule Poirot and the Greenshore Folly 2013
The Last Seance 2019
Midwinter Murder 2020
Midsummer Mysteries 2021
A Deadly Affair 2022
I saw a note by someone saying ... "all the stories themselves were written by her before her death"
I wish I could revise the list but someone else made it. Hopefully I'll remember the missing books at the end. :)
I added some of those to 2024. Goodreads will only let me add through December 2024 so I'll need to remember when I add 2025. :)
You could always archive the original list and post an updated one. It would be easier for people to read without titles struck out. I know it would be a bit of work as I recently did that in another group I moderate, but new members especially seemed to appreciate it.Thanks for setting up the discussions for the next couple years — it helps in planning and obtaining books for future reads.

We have decided to write the whole list of Christie's books, so you know what's coming on the reading list with plenty of time to organize yourselves!
This is the list according to Agatha Christie, as there are different lists published in different sites. It also may vary on the books that have been published on the same year (f. ex. she published 3 books in 1937 which in different lists appear in different order, but as long as we read the 1937 books before the 1938 is all good!)
Some of them weren't published in the UK or US, but I think nowadays is easy to get them all thanks to Amazon! ;o)
