Anna Banana | 156 comments Woot-woot! Go Denmark!

But corruption is bad. We should def. get off our butts and do something about it.

Amina (journalistam) No point, everything corrupted now-a-days

message 8: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) I agree with Anna though. The mere thought that there's no point, makes it all the more important that we get off out butts and do something about it. It ain't gonna happen on it's own.

A lot of places are corrupted, that's true. But the only way to change that is by doing something about it.

Amina (journalistam) Like what? I mean, we're only teenagers

message 11: by Anna (new)

Anna Banana | 156 comments Like stepping up. Like demonstrating. Like doing a shitload of research and starting a chain or a paper. "Teenager" is just another period in your life. If you're old enough to know what's wrong with your country, you're old enough to do something about it.

message 12: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) haha, I might sound selfish, but I am going from here pretty soon. The teenagers who are here can do it themselves..

Anna Banana | 156 comments Fair enough. But moving to another place wont make it impossible to make a different. If you believe everything is corrupt, it wont matter where you are will it?

Never mind anyway. If you want to make a difference you will. I know I want to make a difference. I also know what difference I want to make and how I'm going to do it. I have big plans ;)

meri (meri_is_a_saltedfish) | 127 comments the government officials in my country is so corrupt. they use the money of my fatherland for their own needs. they evade paying their taxes and they kill my fellowmen in public. but guys this is not africa. it's the PHilippines. have you heard of the MAGUINDANAO/ AMPATUAN MASSACRE?

51 people inside their vehicles (members of the press, lawyers, students, pregnant women) were buried alive in a pit dug an hour before the massacre. some were raped others were shot at close-range destroying their features...and they were not even buried properly. pieces of limbs, hands, feet...could be seen....you should look for it in google for more info...

message 28: by meri (new)

meri (meri_is_a_saltedfish) | 127 comments well..this political family had a private army of their own authorized by the 11th president of the Philippines...now our 15th president is the son of our 11th president...

and one more thing this political family has been dominating that particular region...in that area you would feel like you're in the time of kings and queens...the head of the family divided the land for his sons sons and grandsons...

urghh...i can't put into words everything that i'm feeling now.
