I just finished this one. I had put this on my TBR list because it got 4 stars from Bookmarks and I enjoy a mystery now and again. It was a quick and entertaining book and I'd give it a solid 3 stars but not 4. There were a lot of twists and turns; some seemed a little far fetched but others were plausible and yet surprising. I guess that's the always the fine line for these kind of books. This was a debut from Harry Dolan, so we'll see if his promise delivers or if he is a flash in the pan.

I will be starting this book on my Nook in about a week or so, we are reading it for our February read in the Barnes & Noble Nook group, I'm looking forward to it.

I too only gave it 3 stars. I thought it could have been a little better; I love a good mystery too, but I think there was one death too many. I would give his second book a try as I liked his writing style.

I finished Bad Things Happen today, and I really enjoyed this book. I agree there was a lot of deaths going on, and a lot of people were involved, but I think the story worked. I didn't really like the ending, but I loved the story a gave it 4 stars, and I plan on reading more books by this author.
