Aria hurried in, relieved to see that she was early for class.
((well...3rd years are about to inflitrate this class room. sorry, we didn't know you were in here! I don't think there are any 5th years...))
((Yeah. I'm a 3rd year Ravenclaw...))
((Anya's on her way. There was a crash in Hallways and Staircases with Johan.))
((Um, is the teacher ever going to come and teach class here??? Helloooo....))
Professor Jayfox walked into the classroom as the bell sounded, smile on his face. "Good day, class!" he said, moving over towards his desk, which was cluttered with papers, cages, and treacle tart.
Anya skitted into the class, just as the bell was ringing. She slid into a seat next to Aria. "Barley made it," she told her, grinning as she took out her own books.
Professor Jayfox pushed up his sleeves and pulled out his wand, its hickory handle glistening in the afternoon sunshine.
Aria had always liked transfiguration, and was eager to see what they would be learning this year. She smiled, and took out a quill, some ink, and a roll of parchment for note-taking.
Justin ran into the classroom, a minute late. He had tripped in the hallway so he had come later than Anya. He slid into a seat at an empty table next to Aria's and Anya's.
Professor Jayfox winked at Justin, but didn't call him out. As a student, he himself had usually found a way to make it to class just after the bell. Just his luck. So he let it slide, thinking every kid needed a break once in a while.
Justin nodded and grinned at Professor Jayfox in thanks, then took out his paper, quill, and ink, ready for class.
Professor Jayfox cleared his throat. Pointing at the teapot he had resting on his desk, he said clearly, "Tudomorphus." The teapot gave a slight squeak, a cloud of steam enveloped it, and in a quick burst of light it turned into a tortoise.
"Class, each of you has a teapot in front of you. Using the spell Tudomorphus, change it into a tortoise. This spell is fairly straightforward. Any questions?"

Aria pointed her wand at the teapot and said "Tundomorphus".
The pot's exterior changed from a floral print to a tortise shell. Aria sighed.
Then, she said, more clearly, "Tundomorphus". Success!

Justin widened his eyes at the teapot in front of him, then relaxed a little bit. Luckily it looks easy... Then, he took a deep breath, pointed his wand at the teapot and said calmly: "Tudomorphus." It worked, and Justin smiled.

She tried the spell, her hands gripping her wand tightly, she was scared to mess up the spell "Tudomorphus" She whispered. Nothing happened "Darn!" She tried it a bit louder, loosening her death grip "Tudomorphus" and to her great relief it worked, she let out a deep breath.
Aria low-fived Jenna under the table and smiled.
A strawberry blonde in the front of the class suddenly shrieked as her teapot spat steam at her, coating her uniform in a sickly green liquid.
Professor Jayfox hurried over, shaking his head. "Here-- here, take this," he said, handing her a handkerchief. It quickly sopped up the mess. "Now," said the professor, handing her a new teapot, "the spell is Tudomorphus. Not Tudomarephus. Got it?" The girl nodded, smiling sheepishly.
