[bookc..."I think I agree with almost every book you listed!! We have such great taste.
I enjoyed the first two Blades of the Rose books by Zoe Archer. I have the last two in the TBR pile. I also read a new author, L.J. McDonald, and loved her first book The Battle Sylph. I just added her second book to the TBR also. These authors were new to me, and I will definitely take a look at whatever else they publish.
2010 was the year I discovered PNR and what a year it's been! Demonica, BDB, LOTU and MB totally hooked me. As for UF? Finally got around to reading some Patricia Briggs and I love both the Mercy and the Alpha & Omega books. Most interesting author of the year was Nalini Singh. I read the first books in both her series and there's just something about her worlds that sucks you in. Can't explain it but can't stop reading either! This year marked my breakup with Sookie and her friends from Bon Temps. The series goes on but I won't be following it anymore.
There were a lot of first book reads this year which didn't leave me breathless but definitely deserve continuing on with the series. Nightwalkers by Jacquelyn Frank, Sicari assassins by Monica Burns and Hunter Kiss by Marjorie Liu.
I've definitely gotten into PNR and UF this year, and have discovered some fantabulous series!! Also found out there are great YA series beyond Twilight :) (sorry Twilight fans)Just a few books/series I loved:
Books mentioned in this topic
Hourglass (other topics)Bring on the Night (other topics)
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane (other topics)
Shiver (other topics)
Bite Me (other topics)

They don't have to be newly released, just something you read that was fantastic, or terrible. Maybe an author you discovered this year that was great.. or not so great.
