Got up to almost 50 last year. I started late. Now I'm starting early so I should be able to make it hopefully.

8) The Red Pony by John Steinbeck
*You have redeemed yourself John Steinbeck! The end didn't make sense though. again...
12) Squashed by Joan Bauer
*I think I like this better then Hope Was Here. The only thing was the relationship (Ellie and Wes) was centered around agriculture and all they did was try to make the pumpkin grow as well as later on corn. How can they be in a relationship and not do or talk about anything else? That aspect of the story was really weird.
13) What Happened to Lani Garver by Carol Plum-Ucci
*I don't see why this main character and Hunger Games Katniss are so annoying to me sometimes. They both make so many mistakes! And I do like when books end mysteriously but this was one was so annoying! It kept me wondering too much. There are too many options at the end. It is a great book anyways!
14) The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan
*I do like Greek mythology better but... this was really great too. I fell in love by the end and it made me want more. Maybe not as much as The Lost Hero series but I'm still pretty excited.
15) Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson
*I don't know why I would pick this book over a Percy Jackson book or any other of my favorite books but I truly believe this is my ultimate favorite book.
I also love how I read things that reminded me of other books like they mentioned the Thames River which was in the Red Pyramid. They also had two names from Harry Potter which were Hermione and Dudley. They also mentioned something else that had to do with my teacher not a book. I love how books and life are so connected together. (:
17) The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo
*Wasn't as great as I thought it would be probably because I'm too old for it now.
18) The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J.K. Rowling
*I only wish there were more stories like the one mentioned in the notes called Grumble the Grubby Goat. It sounds like it will be exciting!(;
19)Welcome To Dead House by R.L. Stine
*I remember reading this as a kid (at least 5 years ago) and loving it and I still do! Such a great book!
22) The Maze Runner by James Dashner
*This book was incredible!! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!
23) Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
*I knew what was going to happen but I read this book anyway... I don't know why. I guess to feel something.. that's why we read right? To feel adventure, compassion, and sometimes sadness. This book was amazing. I cried my eyes out, my face is red, and I have a headache but it was worth it. I don't know why but it was worth it.
24)Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
*Now I am forced to read The Giver but I don't really see the connection... yet.
28) The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
*Loved it but I kind of don't like Teresa. I don't know why even though she wasn't going to hurt him. The last page was amazing! I'm so excited to read The Death Cure!!! :D
29)Mexican WhiteBoy by Matt de la Pena
*Such a good book! In the beginning I wasn't so sure it was going to be good but it ended up being great! I LOVE Danny!!!
40)The Schwa Was Here by Neal Shusterman
*Re-read. Nice, innocent, and unusual book. Great read especially since it's Shusterman!
43)Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
*Loved it. The transition between the beginning and the end is great. I love how she changes and grows. Despite myself I do like the ending. I think Oliver is turning into an author I really can love.
44)The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee bender
*Really good but gets really weird at the end.
