I am always willing to exchange a postcard. I'll try and find some better ones this time round.
I think so. That is the kind I'm comfortable moderating.
I will collect packages until, say, Feb 20 and then I'll mail everyone's back in the SASE provided.

Bookmarks. Even better. Yay! Or was that Nay? I seem to have the two confused this morning.

Are those the ones Barb made? Those would be nice bookmarks for Doubleday Anchors.

No, I just found a photo to go with Sally's comment about "anchoring" bookmarks inside things she's read.
Larry I think Jonathan is after your "Quick Draw" title for coming up with the fastest picture post.
Ha ha I seem to be hearing seeing an echo.
16th Jan is going to be a little tight for me. I'm going on holidays tomorrow. I won't be able to do anything about bookmarks until 11 Jan. Sorry, I thought they weren't due until 20 Feb as per msg 5. I'll do everything I can to get them out on the 11th.
Hrm, I also thought we had until 2/20 to get bookmarks to you, Sally. I can try for 1/16, but I'm not sure I'll make it.
I have my bookmarks ready to send. How many am I sending? RA and Jim both said they were in, refer msg21 and msg23. I have enough for them as well.
Wow Misha I am so impressed!
I tried to find a creative gene but it seems I no longer have one. I know I used to have one, now where did I put it?

Misha, if you need extra income you could always start a side business doing drivers' licences and other IDs.
Just sent mine out for renewal. I had a friend in school who once had the bright idea of buying a laminator and making ID cards. It didn't end well.
Jonathan, did you happen to see an exhibit of drawings at the NGA in the past few months? I'm trying to remember the name of it (from the ____ collection) and drawing a blank. Probably a German sounding name.
Wolfgang Ratjen?http://www.nga.gov/exhibitions/german...
I haven't seen it, but received the press pack. Looks interesting. Last things I saw at the NGA were Arcimboldo and an excellent show that compared Victorian photographers and Pre-Raphaelite painters. They have good exhibitions opening soon, about a month, on Gauguin and on Venetian view painting (Canaletto, Guardi, Bellotto, Marieschi).
Yes, that's it, thanks. I just realized there were some Ratjen drawings in my 2011 NGA calendar too so I coulda tracked it down that way.
I regret missing the Ratjen show, but there's always so much to see and so little time. NGA does wonderful exhibitions. I forgot to mention that they have Metsu opening in May. Should be fantastic:
Oh gosh. Is it April? I'm supposed to write about that one. I'll see it in Amsterdam just before it closes in mid-March. I had thought it would take longer to do the re-installation in Washington.
I request most of the books I borrow from the library and the library inserts this little piece of paper with the title and date requested. I keep these and use them for bookmarks.
