I've been trying to read Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake but I keep forgetting the book at home and I've started something else by the time I get home, so I don't pick it up. Oy.I'm starting Much Ado About Marriage today. A friend sent it to me (she couldn't wait to get rid of it, it's so bad apparently). I've been on a ridiculous/craptastic book streak lately, so I'm hoping this is a bad read!
I'm reading
, it's so good. I stayed up until 1:30 last night reading it even though I had to get up at 6:30 this morning!
I'm reading
and I think it's good so far. I like Jessica Bird. I'm also reading
and
. It's too early in the book to tell what I think of Ash, but All I Want is Everything is an easy read.
I'm reading
. Someke parts I can follow real well and some others I go through a couple of pages thinking it's talking about one thing and then realize it's about something else entirely. Some parts are quite interesting and some I have to struggle to stay awake through. I am only half way into the book so I am reserving final judgement.
I'm reading 1984 and i LOVE it!!! for one, I can't believe that Orwell came up with this (a lot of which is scarey-accurate for places like North Korea, etc. in 1948!)...but this book is making me delve into the motives of actions and the functioning of the human brain, as well as love, survival, control...I love it
I'm reading
and I'm really enjoying it. There has been so many surprise so far and I'm not even in the middle yet. I think I'll start
tonight.
I'm reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, and it's pretty good so far. Reading pretty fast which is a nice change from the other book that I am reading.
I am reading Zeitoun - Dave Eggers for a groupread for January, started early and actually I enjoyed it very much so far... Looking forward to the end and the discussion part.
I got
for Christmas, I was so excited because I've been wanting to read it for months ever since I was looking for a book in another challenge and came across this one, but my library didn't have it. It is really good, I'm flying through it. It's based in WWII which brings some disturbing things up (but you can't totally avoid them)But the story is good and is a real page turner. I can't wait to finish it and hope for a somewhat happy ending.

I decided to wait until I can read it.
I'm reading
and
. I'm actually enjoying all three of them even though they are severely different books. Anna and the French kiss is very funny and has that contemporary YA feel; I am Number Four is sci-fi and it's the first alien book that I've ever read so I'm setting the bar high for it; and Nightshade is entertaining but very confusing.
I'm reading
.This book was published almost 30 years ago, so the world-building is definitely a departure from that in other fantasy books I've been reading lately.
I'm pretty early in, and Jane, the protagonist, is crying every few pages. I'm finding her... sympathetic, but a little hard to respect.
Also, I can honestly say this is the first YA novel I've ever read in which the mother asks her sixteen year-old daughter if she's masturbating regularly for her psychological health, since she hasn't found a lover yet. LOL

That's awkward lol. In Nightshade they keep asking Calla if she has lingerie and if she finds her future mate attractive. This from her mother, brother, and some creepy old lady.

I read that as a pick-it-for me in another group and although the beginning is slow, the ending was fantastic. Book #2, I liked but not as much as this one.
I just finished
and didn't care for it. It was another pick-it-for-me from another group that wasn't a success.
@Sashana: IKR? If my mom had ever said something like that to me when I was sixteen, I'm pretty sure I would have mentally rocked back and forth until the trauma went away. And yes, the Keepers in Nightshade are incredibly creepy! The Nightshade Keeper was bad enough; the Bane guy made my skin crawl. @Carolyn: Finished the book tonight, and you're right, the ending is much better than the beginning! Very moving.

yet? It's another book that takes place in the future and I loved it!!I'm currently reading
and I love it so far, I'm 3/4th's the way through and it definately has it's own flavor!

No I haven't, but I'll see if my library has it.
I am 2/3 into The Subtle KnifeIt is better than its predecessor Northern Lights
Don't know why, but I like it more :)

I haven't read Matched yet but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
I'm reading
and it's okay. Not as good as the first. Also
I'm not too far but I definitely had a Twilight flashback when Luc walked into his school office on the first day of school. It was so Edward Cullen-esq. Let's see what happens.
Liz wrote: "I'm finishing up THE BOOK THIEF. Love!!
"Awesome, Liz. My library has the digital edition of this book so I'll be taking advantage of it in the future.

Definitely read. I was hooked from page 1. It was offered at my library too, but I ended up buying cause I didn't want to wait.
Finshed
Which was amazing and creative and now reading
and it's good so far, very nice and flowing writing.

Oh, I do a few reviews, and I also have some connections where I can get ARC's. Are you wanting to read it?
Lacey, I would like to become a reviewer for anyone and anything. I haven't found very many promising websites to do this from. The ones I have found require me to write something. I don't write... Any suggestions for me?Right now I am reading Poison Study. I like it a lot. More than I thought I would.

You don't actually get to keep the book because they send it to you via e-book and you only get to keep it for 60 days. That's one of your options.
and I loved the Study's series by Synder, but her Glass series is the best! :)
Thanks Lacey. I will check that out this weekend. I will have to check out her Glass series if I ever get through the Study series. So many books, so little time! GRR! :)
Rachel, The Poison Study was actually pretty good. I'll be curious to your thoughts when you finish the series. Sashana, I am half way through The Last Sacrific and I do like it but Rose is killing me at times..

Heather, I thought Rose's character took kind of a nosedive in the last couple of books. It was frustrating for me--she was like a hurricane blowing through but not sticking around to clean up the damage she caused, lol.
Oh, sister, Galla, you nailed it! Granted I am not done with the book yet but I swear it is like Rose slowing became TSTL and that kills me. She started off so strong and then became a joke..
Heather wrote: "Oh, sister, Galla, you nailed it! Granted I am not done with the book yet but I swear it is like Rose slowing became TSTL and that kills me. I am reading
and I'm having mixed reviews so far. I really liked how the book started, but then the main character, Riley, talked about herself for the next several chapters and it was quite annoying. "I'm so awesome, noone can beat me up, I'm not goth I just dress like it, I'm so awesome...." yadda, yadda, yadda. I almost put the book down. Then I met Eli and now it seems to be getting back on track. We'll see.....
I am currently reading Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly. I'm liking it thus far and I am intrigued on where this book is coming. Couldn't add the cover because it isn't out yet so sorry about that.
I'm reading
and it is so good! It's my first book by this author and I am pleasantly surprised especially because it's historical romance- which I'm not a very big fan of.
Sashana wrote: "I'm reading

Sure, just as long as you tell me what you think of Angel Burn. Let me know if it's good or just another teenybopper PNR.
I'm working my way through
and it's getting more and more amazing. I've been home sick and this is keeping my mind off my coughing fits. I know it won't happen, but I'm wishing Rhapsody and Achmed would end up together.
Galla, OMG, I finished Last on Sunday and just didn't quite get the ending. Was there a hea? Did I miss something and I can't understand how Mead changed some of the characters; ones you never thought would fall of the straight and narrow!! And Rose, please don't get me started on her..
