Haven't been to the library in a while due to the holidays so I had to scrounge through my bookshelf for something interesting. I found Moongazer (a Dollar General purchase). So far so good.

I just finished Killing Rocks, which is the third book in the Bloodhound Files book. It just came out the last Tuesday in Dec, but I had to restrain myself til after Jan. 1, so that I could use it for some of my various challenges.
finished Fallenand did not care for it. i'll give the 2nd one a chance and see if it picks up the pace some.
i'm now reading Bone Crossed

OMG, you gave up on the highlander!! I love that series and can't seem to get enough of them!

Did you read this one? It's not about the time travelers, it's about a beserker and a woman from his time. The language was way too modern from the girl's mother even and it was a lot of that "girl making a fool out of herself telling the guy she hates him". I just couldn't handle it. It may be wrong book at the wrong time syndrome too. That's happened a few times. Right now I just started
.
I'm reading Halo - finishing it up (Which is dragging on & on & on. I have approximately a hundred pages left & I feel like I'm just now getting somewhere!) & starting Nightshade (I'm about sixty pages into this one & so far, really enjoying it... Of course I thought I was enjoying Halo at sixty pages, so we'll see.).

yep, I loved that one! lol, all of her higherlander books seem to have that "girl making a fool out of herself telling the guy she hates him" scenario. but i just can't seem to get enough of that it seems!! you should definitly give it a try another time.

It's good not great. When I read the first book, I wasn't sure I was going to finish the series, but the ending was so good. This one, hmmmm, I wish she wasn't so paranoid and would listen to what her friends have said. I'm going to read book #3, but not for awhile.
I finished Halo... Eh.I'm right at halfway through Nightshade, but I can't make myself wait anymore. I'm starting Awakened as soon as I'm done with the chapter I'm on!
I just finished reading The Better Part of Darkness and Stand by Your Man. I have been flipping back and forth between a couple of different books, simply because I have ssoooo many that either just came out in the last 2 weeks OR that someone just recommended to me. Sigh, so many books, so little TIME. Why isn't there 48 hours in a day????
BTW--if anyone else is into Cozies, I just found a new series. Book 1 is Too Big to Miss. The sleuth is a 55 year old Big and Beautiful woman. I really liked this book, even tho I'd partially figured out who did it, by half way into the book. But, as with most cozies, its the characters that you want to follow.
Just started Watchers in the Night. I love Jenna Black's other series so I can't imagine not liking this one.
Just started Trio of Sorcery by Mercedes Lackey, three short novels. The first ~ Arcanum ~ tells about Diana Tregarde's college days and is set in Cambridge in the early '70s. The second features Jennifer Talldeer and the third Ellen McBride.

reading Dead as a Doornail. starting off kinda slow. Sookie's having more interaction with the Weres in this one and the plots not thickening enough yet for me. i'm wanting some vamp action, especially after reading Dead to the World and enjoying it immensely. still have more to go so it should get better. guess i'm not being patient enough =)

Yeah she was annoying, but not as annoying as her friend. I just don't understand their mindset.
Master of Smoke Just finished this and am planning on re-reading Bonds of Justice
I have around 30 in my TBR pile but none are calling my name and Bonds of Justice is, so it won out.
Just finished The Rogue Prince and I am saddened that I don't have the last book in this series right now! So it's back to Simply Irresistible

Right now I'm working on finishing the Rogue Mage series by Faith Hunter. Only 1 more to go to finish it, but I STILL need to find a sci-fi/alien PNR for a challenge. Sigh, so many books, so little time.

Ann I just read The Lords of Var series. I think that would count as Sci-Fi-/Alien if you wanted to give that series a try. It's By Michelle Pillows.

Aren't they aliens, I mean sheesh, its an alien/alternate world.
reading Bayou Moon. not as good as On the Edge but i'm getting through it. not as engrossing. it's taking longer to get to the gist of the story and it's even longer than the first in the series =(
Lily--no, they aren't aliens--just vamps and werewolves. Yes, its set in an alternate universe, but still "only" vamps and werewolves--with a (very) few token humans scattered here and there.

have you read the spin off books, "First Drop of Crimson" and "Eternal Kiss of Darkness"? They are good. Cat & Bones apear in them but they are about Spade & Cat's friend and the other is about Mancheres.
Currently reading the Carpathian series (Dark series) by Christine Feehan. I've read books #1 - 3, 10 - 11, and 15 - 21.

D. Magic, which is number 4 is the best of the series. It is about Gregori and Savannah, the others are about the missing children; some are from from Gregori's family (who are now adults)and the twins, who are legendary hunters.
I love the series, can't wait for Zach's (last one of the Del la Cruz brothers, spelling is off, sorry) story to come out, it is supposed to be the next one.
Anyhow, it is best if you can read them in order, that way you don't miss things that are discussed in later books.
