Death from the Skies!: These Are the Ways the World Will End . . . Despite the sensationalist title, the book is written by Phil Plait. A man who made his name as a debunker of faux science.

Decision Points was not a fan of his presidency but I'd still like to read it. I've heard good things, plus I'd like to hear his side of the story about why he made the choices he made.

It's been a (#1) NYT best seller for awhile now. However, that is not necessarily indicative of a "good read". People seemingly swarm around political books. I was reading "the worst books of all time" list and Ann Coulter occupied three of the top ten worst. This despite having sold a relatively good amount of copies of each book. I think people use their reviews in order to express approval. Which-is-disappointing. Of course the Twilight books were in there as the some of the best of all time also.. so yea, take it with a grain of salt.

True, but a lot of the reviews on Amazon seem good as well.

I downloaded over a hundred books to my kindle in the past week so I'm going to be rather busy :)

England, the 1520s .. now that does sound interesting.

I've accrued a long list of titles that I have heard about or had referenced during my studies-- currently battling with an Amazon wishlist of around 500 books to get through, after I've graduated! However, one of the top ones is A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell. Sometimes I get tired of reading fiction and poetry and just love to tuck into a big 'information' book that gives you lots of theoretical and abstract knowledge to then apply to, well, everything else. This one seems like a top book in that category.

Currently doesn't have a book to read, just finished Fall of Giants by Ken Follett so I'm in the market for a new book ... prolly a documentary type of book, there is supposed to be a new book about about Erwin Rommel ... that may be next :)

Just starting out on 'Catch 22' by Joseph Heller. Literally only started, finding it a bit tough at this early stage to get 'into' the book in terms of the manner in which it's written but I'm sure I will.

Dean Koontz has a new book out. I am tempted to give it a go.
