I'm starving!! It's rainy and gloomy here so I'm heading off to the local Mexican restaraunt for a bowl of chicken soup and some chapters of .

What are your plans?

I'm getting ready to make rosemary and garlic shrimp quinoa salad with cashews and sun dried tomatoes!!!

I've never tried shrimp before and have zero desire to ever try it, lol

I had chicken noodle soup, which I usually have everyday!

We call them prawns here, not shrimp- we can fish them out of our river and also crbas and lobster. I have a thing for langoustine though and whenever we go to Brittany I have them cold with a big bowl of proper French mayonnaise.

Crab and lobster I LOOOOVE!!! Best crab I've ever had was in Maryland at a place called Woody's Crab Shack. AMAZING crab cakes there!! Only place I'll eat them from. DOwn here, they put some crazy breading and seasoning in them. Blech . . .

and we want to travel and see your part of the world. As someone who has always travelled quite a lot (we went to New Zealand for my maternity leave!!!) I would say that it is something that shouldn't be put in the "one day" box.

Our goal is to go to Germany within the next 2 years. DH's brother is in Air Force and stationed there for the next 4 years . . .

After that, who knows. OUr fianncial situation is just becoming comfortable enough that it wouldn't be a hardship on our family to travel like we want. And our children are old enough that I feel comfortable traveling with them ( to far-off places), they're 12, 11 and 7.

Germany would be fun. We do house swaps. We get lots of interest from people wanting to swap with us so at least we only have to fund our travel, not our accomodation or car hire.

I had chinese buffet today...particularly liked their scallion chicken.
