I know! I keep meaning to and then don't. That's why I thought if I set this up I'd finally have to. I keep using all of these for challenges and then changing my picks after reading something else. This way someone else picks and I can't weasel out of it and change anything.
this is such a good idea! I keep saying I'll read certain books and then I never get to it. I don't have a TBR shelf though, but I figure that if my partner randomly recs me 8-10 titles then I'm sure I'll find one I like.
I'm in! These are some of the first books I chose after I joined goodreads in October 2008. I own them all and still haven't read them!1. Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts
2. The Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce
3. The Duke And I by Julia Quinn
4. Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon
5. Stray by Rachel Vincent
6. The Host by Stephenie Meyer
7. Marked by P.C. Cast
8. Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
9. Playing With Fire by Katie MacAlister
10. Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

I'm in as well!! This gives me an excuse to actually read books I own instead of still getting ones from the library. Okay here they are.
For all of you that have said you'll post later, just remember to have everything up before the 22nd.
I'm going to bow out of this one. I really want to do it, but I keep trying to sign up for every single challenge and find myself getting only halfway on some of them. I'd rather do a few and complete them then do several and not complete any.
NO promblem Stacia. That's part of the reason why I figured you could use these books for your other challenges.
Just in case no one else signs up last minute, anyone willing to pick for 2 people? I was willing to do it, but my name ended up being the one that got stuck by itself since we're at an odd number.
Partners are up. If anyone wants to join tomorrow you still can so don't worry.
If you're wondering about the # next to your partners name is the message number of their post so you can find them and their list.

Thanks Lisa. You gave me some good variety to pick between. I think I'll try and read more than one of your nominations if time permits.
Thank you for recommending Graceling Lisa, I would have pouted if she hadn't had that recommended for her :)
I've had it for a year and a half and have never gotten to it for some reason.
I know the library has the Butcher and Perez books. I've almost checked them out a time or two, but never done it. I'll have to look into the other ones.

Since you don't have a TBR Shelf I looked at the books you have read and compared them to my TBR & Read shelf's and picked some I think you might like.....
if you have a kindle or the computer app...some of these are lendable...
Angela, I haven't read any on your owned list either lol, but I like your picks for me. Thanks! :)From your list:
From your TBR Shelf:
Lisa S., I haven't read any of the ones on your own list so I'm just going off the covers. :-)From your list:
I have read most of these choices though so hope you enjoy.

I went to go pick up a few of the books that Shannon recommended me but my library didn't have any of them so I shall have to put them on hold instead
Joeera, Carrie is in the US this weekend so she probably won't post hers until she gets home. I just thought I'd let you know.
Angela wrote: "I went to go pick up a few of the books that Shannon recommended me but my library didn't have any of them so I shall have to put them on hold instead"I feel so bad Angela that you couldn't easily get the books from the library. I'll be sure to look for any of them next time to go the used books store & send them to you if you want. Sorry :(

I think she was just saying that they weren't in at the moment. That someone else had them checked out and that they would eventually be back in. Although, I'm sure she'll let us know when she logs on next.

1) If your interested in this "event" then post that you're in. Then, look through your shelves or check out your library. List 10 books that you already own, but just don't seem to ever pick up (any genre). If you don't have a bunch of extra books lying around then go through your library and find books that you know they already have. The reason why I say to find things you have easy access to is so that you don't have to break your bank for this. Ideally you'll do this without spending a dime. However, if there's a book you're dying to purchase, but you need a valid excuse to justify the purchase then go ahead and include it, but try to stick to things you can get for free or already own. Also, try and stick to things that you want to read, but never seem to get to. Putting the new Mooning book in your list defeats the point a bit because you'll probably read it no matter what. Stick to things that aren't brand new releases for this part.
Step 1 needs to be completed by January 22nd.
2) I will randomly pair up participants and post the list of who you've got as a partner. You will then review their list and pick 5 books from their list for them to read.
3) You'll then browse through your partners TBR pile and pick out 8-10 titles that you think they'd enjoy. If there's something not on their list but you know they'll love it then feel free to include it. Just try to keep at least half of the picks from their TBR list since you know they're already interested in those titles.
Steps 2 and 3 need to be done before February 1st.
4) Read the 5 books your partner chose from your picks and at least one book from their recommendations. Feel free to read more if you're willing.
You should be done with your reads by the end of June. If you guys like this then let me know and we can do it again in July.
