"Draven’s head jarred against the window. A bolt of pain shot through his head."Might want to take a look at those two sentences and maybe combine them?
I LOVE the names of mundane objects and nicknames for humans. Nice little touches that bring an imagined world to life. The first chapter makes me want to know more about that world and the main character which is all an author can ask!
Need more :)

The 'writing exercise' was good! It immediately pulls you in. The description of wasps was clever showing some danger. The entire story leading up to the encounter is really mysterious and makes the reader long for more. very nicely done i thought! The only thing that sorta annoyed me, just a bit, was 'skinny bare' arms. dunno why. Perhaps I wondered why that element was important and could've been described more simply. but nit-picking. best of luck!Ruth wrote: "These aren't from my GoodReads profile, but it's free fiction from me...

Hi guys, http://www.goodreads.com/story/list/6...
I'd love your thoughts on a couple of items in there, but feel free to check it all out if you want.
Tonight is the night is my first foray into thriller/horror/suspense writing, it's only a short story for a competition (prompt was to write about a photo of strange man in a trenchcoat) I entered on GR and won. :)
Emotion is another very short competition entry, the prompt is in the description.
Swinging both ways and Poetry from yesteryear are collections of poetry from earlier in my life.
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3... Here's a link to a book I wrote called Something Else Entirely. I'd love a review. If you can tell me what to improve on it, what's working and what's not, I'd be so appreciative!
The link below is of a short prologue I wrote of a book I'm interested in writing. My plot so far has many gaps though, so I'd love for you guys to read this and comment (on the story, NOT here) with any ideas you have that might work for it.http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...
Wrote a new short story from the time of the Titanic called This Weightlessness. It's only four short chapters so I'd love for you guys to take a look and tell me what you think I can improve on! http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3... (comments ON THE STORY please, not here)
So I finally got around to writing a sequel to my first posted short story, Inordinate. This one's called Exorbitant (Brian's POV) and there will be a third posted later today or tomorrow called Irrevocable. In case you missed the first one: http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...
Exorbitant: http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...
I would love reviews and suggestions on how to improve - even negative reviews are welcome! Please comment ON THE STORY, though, not here.

I've posted a mix of things in the devotionals I read with bits of my own thoughts. Hopefully something about one (or more) of these will bring you hope. (Comments ON the link, not here. I finally got around to writing another short story! Right now, it's called "Something Like Fate," but if you have any other title suggestions, let me know by commenting on it. Here's the link: http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3.... I need some brutal critiques, so please post them on the story, not here to let me know how I can edit and improve this. Thank you so much!
I am very happy to present the first chapter to my new book, Like The Stars. I am currently working on it, but plan to be finished by June 30th. How do I add a link to my profile?
Andrew wrote: "How do I add a link to my profile?"
Generally links will appear on Goodreads comments if you just copy and paste them in.

This is the link to my profile:

If you scroll down you will find two pieces.
If I can find a more direct way of linking to the pieces I will do it.

That's great. What I really need to know is where I find this URL to copy it so I can paste it in another group.
I can't copy the example you have posted in the previous comment. It ends with an elllipsis.
