Yes, I agree about Noah's story. "Shadow Dance" just wasn't up to par for what I had envisioned for Noah. I really liked Dr. Mike and Theo's chemistry, too. I think probably "Heartbreaker" and "Mercy" are my two favorites in the "Buchanan" series. Ironically, they were the first two books in the series.
I haven't read any of her contemporaries yet, but I pulled out Heartbreaker. Hopefully I will read it soon.
I liked it but u need to forget that it is Julie Garwood writing it because it doesn't have the same style IMO. I think it holds up pretty well to its contemporaries.
"Heartbreaker" was one of my very favorites of Julie Garwood's contemporaries. It's got some great characters. Hope you enjoy it, Danielle!
I like Brodick because he's the very first Highlander to be introduced to me. :) Yeah, I first read Ransom of all the books of Garwood but really, I love Alec Kinkaid because he's more arrogant than Brodick and he's not a heathen. LOL
This is so hard. I love Ransom for Broderick and Ramsey, but Broderick is the most endearing to me. Out of the contemporary's, Noah and Nick are my faves. I can't decide!
The man fell hard:-). I love it when the strong, tough men fall in love. Agent Max Daniels from The Ideal Man reminds me a lot of him. You can have Broderick if I can have Noah:-).

OK...I am totally spacing the book and man! Help me out. The girl is American, English by birth. She gets sent away because her mom was murdered. She comes to England, meet a guy, threatens to off his horse....and....he thinks his is having murder attempts on him and avoids her. Turns out, someone is trying to kill her.Which book is this? I remember being more attracted to the best friend! Her takes her to the opera and spills the beans. Maybe I am getting my stories confused. I think this is two books!
Anyway, I want the best friend;-)
Yes!!! I dug through all my paperbacks and found it. Milford is the friend. Caroline is our heroine. Page 188 after the theatre is when I fell for him. It's rare that I like a supporting character more than the Hero.
