Lynn entered the room, setting her box down on the large table near the door. She took a few pieces of metal out of the box, thinking. She smiled, and decided to work on her idea of mechanical parrots that could be used on the ship to carry messages.
Sevania Mandell, the captain of the ship, poked her head in. Noticing Lynn, she grinned. It was reassuring to know that her council was really here. Over the past two years, the five teens had really bonded. "Hey, Lynn." Sev went into the room and took a seat in the spinny chair next to her friend, swiveling her seat to face Lynn.
Tsubasa got into the control room and saw the Engineering captain and the ship captain. He waved to them and got back to his station.
Laruin walked in and went to check the pressure for the ship, making sure nothing was over heating or not working properly.
Tsubasa looked at the ship's engine and looked anything was wrong or not right.
Audrey popped her head into. "Found it!" she told her roommate. "You were right." she grinned.
Audrey turned back to the control room. "Oh sorry," she apologized. "I couldn't find this place because I got lost, so I headed to my room, meet my roomate who told me her friend worked here and that she'd help me out. Hey guys by the way."
"Audrey," Audrey said. "Audrey Simones. Engineering." she introduced herself. "You must be the captin."
"Nice to meet you," Audrey grinned. "So, where do you want me?"
Sev shrugged. "I don't know. Ask Lynn, she's the engineering captain. Personally, I hardly know anything about engineering."
"Got it," Audrey said. "Nice to meet you," she said, heading over to Lynn.
Tsubasa looked at control systems if anything was wrong and bumped into Audrey for he wasn't looking at where he was going, "Sorry."
"It's okay," Audrey grinned. "I should have moved out of your way."
"Well, are you new here? I'm not, been here since I can remember," said Tsubasa as he tried not to take his eye off the systems.
"To the control room?" Audrey asked. "Then yes. To engineering, no." she told him. "I could never make the dates for group training, since I lived abroad with my aunt and uncle. Basically, I'm new to everything but our system."
"I'm guessing that Satori showed you the way," said Tsubasa as he looked at Audrey.
"She's my roommate," Audrey told him, smiling. "You must be her friend. I'm Audrey Simones."
"I'm Tsubasa Kobayashi, but call me Tsubasa," said Tsubasa but didn't look up at Audrey.
Audrey cocked her head to one side slightly, looking this guy over and trying to figure him out. "Nice to meet you," she told him. "Any idea where I'm supposed to be?"
"Well, you can ask Lynn but you can check the gears in this system. I'm really working on the microchips and installing them into the computers," said Tsubasa as he gave her a list of things to check.
((sorry. my computer hates me))
Audrey nodded. "Got it," she said. "Not that I'm complaining, since I actually know everything, but what exactly does engineering entail? All I was told that was that I'd keep the ship from falling apart. So are we talking programming and engines?"

"I'm really doing both actually and you are only doing the engines so I'll see you later. If you need questions ask me or the captain, Lynn," said Tusbasa as he went to a computer and started typing codes and other numbers he should know.
"Good," Audrey grinned. She wasn't bad with computers, but engines were her speciality. She went over to check the gears.
Tsubasa loved his job but looked at the numbers and he looked at Audrey, "Hey, I need to look for Satori for a while so I'm going okay bye."
((Actually, just so you know, in the books there's this super intelligent computer that does the basic running of the ship, and engineering specialists fix it if something goes wrong, and do the complicated parts. You don't have to go by that, though.))
((that's something that should be written at the beginning of sections like these. oh well. technically, i'm still okay since audrey has to make sure the things working.))
Audrey looked up. "Hmm?" she said, distracted. "Oh yeah, sure. She should be close, she just dropped me off after all." she told him.

((you could have told us that.......
-_-))
-_-))
Lynn looked around at the room and smiled. It was nice that so many people showed up to help. She wasn't used to being around a lot of people, so she didn't know what to say.
Audrey turned around to find her captain. "Hi," she grinned.
Lynn smiled. "Hi. I'm Lynn, the Engineering Captain. Who are you?" she asked. It was nice to meet new people who weren't openly annoyed with her.
"Audrey Simones, engineering," Audrey told her, putting her hand out to shake it. "Nice to meet ya."
Tsubasa came back and looked dirty because Satori threw soil at him for not seeing he changed the control system into making it cold, almost making the plants die. "Well, that didn't go well. Hi Audrey, so do you know what you are doing?"
Lynn shook Audrey's hand. "Nice to meet you too," she answered. She noticed another person approaching, and saw that he was covered in dirt. She didn't say anything, not knowing what else to do. He was talking to Audrey, anyways.
"Sorry, captain but the agriculture captain hit me with soil because of something in the weather control system," said Tsubasa.
Lynn couldn't help but smile. "I guess being a captain means that you take thing much too seriously," she said, laughing.
"I fixed the control system but I accidentally made it cold that almost made the plants die. She got mad at me but didn't say anything," said Tsubasa.
"Well, that's Satori for you," said Tsubasa, "she can be aggressive at times but she is nice. I made her mad, she probably won't forgive me until she calms down."
Lynn nodded. "Well, I 've never officiall met her yet, but she sounds very interesing." she smiled.
Arietta ran in, breathless. She stopped short when she saw the other kids. "Hi," she said quietly, shyly. It was weird, being on a ship full of kids who were for the most part older than her.
Lynn looked over at the girl who rushed in and smiled. She walked over to her. "Hi, I'm Lynn, the captain of Engineering," she said, gesturing toward the room. "What's your name?" she asked.
"Arietta." Her voice was practically a whisper. Why did people, even when they were trying to be nice, intimidate her so much?
