do you read twilight? do you love it? on the inner flap of one of the books it says harry potter steap aside. do you agree with that? i dont though thay are very good books. in case you dont know what i am talking about stphanie meyer has a vampire love (but not really vampire love because that sounds like a bad sit com) series out

I think Harry Potter is better

i love twilight, but i don't think it's better than harry potter. it's a tie for me to be honest. they're both amazing series, but for different reasons.

I'm reading the seventh right now.... for the 4th time.

I have really enjoyed the Twilight series a lot, but it still can't hold a candle to Harry Potter. The most important difference I see is this: JK created a whole other world. She created governments, schools, songs, nursery tales, stores, sports, and basically her own magical language. While the characters in both series are compelling and fabulous, it is the tantalizing alternate reality JK created that sets her apart. HP IS THE BEST!!!

honestly, i used to like twilight, but now i hate it with a passion. it is so superficial and silly. bella is always saying things like "i love you so, so much. you are my destiny" and "Edward! Don't leave me!". She is kind of like a baby. he picks her up and carries her everywhere, and honestly, breaking dawn... bleauch. I just about threw up on my book whenever bella started talking. The only thing i liked was the titles of jacob's chapters. the rest....ugh. Harry Potter is so much more real, even though its a completely different world, and you really feel connected to the characters.

For me, I am Switzerland. I love Twilight and the Harry Potter series equally. :)I think Harry Potter and Twilight are DEFINITELY different and both have amazing qualities of their own. It's impossible for me to say one is better than the other because they are two entirely unique series which contribute excitement, fun and interest into the world of reading. I do feel more connected to the characters in Harry Potter at times than I do Twilight maybe because JK Rowling's character development goes more in-depth. I think we know and love those characters so much because of seven books worth of great description and dialogue. Twilight's characters are great too, but I tend not to relate to them as much as I do the HP characters. :)

I think a lot of the Harry Potter are better than Twilight, but the 2nd one was better than some of the Harry Potter books. Harry Potter overall, though!!!!!!!!!!!
And I agree with like Brownie. I loved the Jacob parts!!!!!!!!! Bella was a baby and Edward was creepy and scary!!!!!!!! The 4th was my least favorite. I loved Renesmee, though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? I loved Jacob in New Moon!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt bad 4 him when Edward came back. I got so attached to Jacob in that book, that i hated Edward 4 the rest of it!!!!!!!! I liked him after that though. But Jacob was still my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah I know I felt like that too! Like in New Moon I was like " aww jake I love you!" :) but like Edward ruined jake...along with Bella...they destroyed him!! :(

the last one was my least favorite- the whole middle part b4 she had the baby was really confusing. But after that it cleared up and i liked it more.

Twilight is my most favorite book of that series!

I am definitely a Harry Potter fanatic and I have never read Twilight or any of the books after it. Most of the people I know think Twilight is way better than Harry Potter and I always get so mad at them, even though I have never read the book and therefore cannot judge fairly. Everyone's been telling me I really need to read it and will change my mind, but I have never been a fan of vampires or romance. I sort of want to read it to prove them wrong. (I'm perfectly o.k. if someone likes this book better than Harry Potter. I just dodn't think I ever will.) Is there any suspense in this book? Or getting down to a bottom of a mystery? I don't mean a mystery story or anything, just something the character needs to find out. Also, I know its a series, but is it possible to understand the story w/o starting on the first book?

Yeah there is suspense but not a ton. There's a few action-y scenes, but it's mostly romance. I do like Harry Potter better!!!

I love Both Harry Potter and Twilight the same! I can't choose because there both suchh different books and have different elements that make them awesome!!!! right now im more obsessed with Twilight cuz i just read them like 4 months ago...and The Harry Potter books i finished the last one last summer when it came out! (omg that was an amazing day!) hahaha lol...but im going to read Harry Potter series again before the new movie comes out! Which im super duper excited for! :D

i watches the twilight movie at midnight last night, and it was NOWHERE NEAR as good as the book. but it was a pretty good movie overall. But there was a preview for HP6, and it looked AWESOME!! I can't wait til it comes out. i'm so exited. the special effects look incredible.

I agree with you....You can't compare it to the book at all, but it was pretty good! I give it a 9/10. I really enjoyed it. It made my day...my week....:) I loved the preview for HP6! All the other previews sucked....sorry...I like Rob now, I didn't at first, but now I've grown quite fond of him as our beloved Edward. Loved Jacob and Alice. And Emmett and Esme and Carlisle (even though he looked too young...) Rosalie, Victoria and James are perfect. Jessica was cute...Mike's eyes were gorgeous, and he was adorable...Eric was annoying like I pictured.
