Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Hi everyone,

I just joined this group. I didn't know it existed. How about recommending some good AA romance books and telling why you liked them?

I recommend Redemption's Kiss by Ann Christopher. I just got finished reading it. When a book elicits strong emotions from me, that's one reason why I would consider it good. This one does that.

The hero starts out as a no good SOB who cheated on his wife. His journey to win back his wife and them dealing with their past problems is a good one.

Here's my review: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/73...

Anyone else enjoyed one you've read recently?

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 11 comments Just read Body Heat by Adrianne Byrd. I really enjoyed it even though the time spread of events seemed crazy to me. For instance, the heroine managed to (view spoiler)
This is part of a series, so now I'll have to look for all the other books in the series.

message 3: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Thanks, Andrea. I have that one. It's a good read.

Tiphanie Thomas | 9 comments Did anyone else enjoy Whatever You Like? I thought it was a great book!

Andrea Jackson (paperbackdiva) | 11 comments Just finished .Diary of an Ugly Duckling Diary of an Ugly Duckling by Karyn Langhorne . I enjoyed it. It was touching and disturbing at the same time. did a good job addressing issues like color within the AA community. Great heroine too.

message 6: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Tiphanie,I haven't read Whatever You Like yet, but I do have it. Maureen Smith is one of my fave authors, so I'm looking forward to reading it.

message 7: by Tiphanie (new)

Tiphanie Thomas | 9 comments That's cool, Delaney, that you like Maureen Smith. Do you have any other books by her you would recommend?

Other books I am in process of reading is Traci Bee and Chicki Brown. I'll let you know how it goes after I finish them.

message 8: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) I like her Wolf family series. Start with Taming the Wolf. She also wrote a book with an unconventional, nerdy heroine named Whisper My Name.

message 9: by Shawna (new)

Shawna Barnett (shawnarbarnettphd) | 7 comments I have not read any of these books but will be sure to put themon my TBR list.

message 10: by Tiphanie (new)

Tiphanie Thomas | 9 comments Thanks, Delaney! I will look into that series. I feel like I'm a little behind on other romance authors, since I've been so focused on writing in the last couple of years.

But Shawna, I did enjoy Whatever You Like, so if you like a steamy romance with interesting characters, it's perfect.

message 11: by Regina (new)

Regina Garcia | 4 comments I very much like Maureen Smith, Brenda Jackson,AC Arthur, and Frances Ray. I am quick to buy whatever they write. Whisper My Name is great, but I also love the Affair series by Maureen Smith. Brenda Jackson is like the Grande Dame of AA Romance to me. I am just waiting for some of the Madaris and Westmoreland men to materialize out of thin air. The Madaris and Westmoreland series of books are also really good choices to explore!

message 12: by Regina (new)

Regina Garcia | 4 comments Oh yes! I forgot to say that Carmen Greene and Altonya Washington also have some good books in series.

Pamela Bell English | 3 comments Hi. I have read too many good romance books to name. My favorite authors include; Donna Hill, Brenda Jackson, Francis Ray, Rochelle Alers, Gwynne Forster, Carmen Green, Altonya Washington, Gwyneth Bolton, Adrianne Byrd, Michelle Monkou, Maureen Smith, Wayne Jordan, and others.

I like books that make me laugh, cry, get angry, root for the underdog, etc. Evoking emotions is a great trait of authors. This keeps me reading their books. Thanks!

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) I wanted to pop in and let everyone know the third book in my Hawthorne Family series is now available at Amazon and ARE. It's a great weekend read.

Title: Here Comes Trouble

Here Comes Trouble (Hawthorne Family, #3) by Delaney Diamond

Blurb:
Who doesn’t love a bad boy?

Lorena Vega knows better than to have anything else to do with Matthew Hawthorne. Then he comes to her and asks for her help in writing a proposal for a grant to benefit the community center where he volunteers. She agrees to do the work, but she has her guard up, because having Matthew in her life again is a problem she doesn’t need.

Matthew still carries some guilt from when he hurt Lorena. Seeing her again for the first time in months makes him realize what a huge mistake he made, and he wants another chance to be the kind of man she deserves. He’s determined to win her back and prove he’s not the player he used to be, and nothing will stand in his way.

Not even the new man in her life.

I'm reading Adrianne's King series now. I'm almost finished with King's Passion. I like that she writes atypical heroines.
