15-3. First Among Sequels (#5) by Jasper Fforde (3/9); This novel is an alternate history/fantasy/sf and is similar to the shows that I watch on the Syfy channel in its use of scienc-y technology, humor, and references to books and culture that I enjoy (Eureka/Warehouse 13/Stargate SG-1/Being Human).

I read Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South for this, which deals with the situation of Manchester's working class during England's industrialisation in the first half of the 19th century. Classism plays a great role here, with the heroine acting to make the classes come together more so as to ensure their mutual understanding.

Claiming your points should look something like this:
Just finished "This Book" for "this task" for x points.
New Total: x points
I'll have an Excel spreadsheet going with the totals so I'll be keeping track for you but it helps if you post your totals too just in case I miss something.
New this challenge: Tami will be taking over the leaderboard as I cannot commit to it anymore and I really want a leaderboard that is being updated often.
BEFORE YOU POST READ THIS:
Please check the leaderboard before you make your FIRST post claiming points to make sure nobody has your name. If somebody does have your name, please put your last initial or something to distinguish yourself. You don't have to change your name for GR but rather everytime you post, in addition to your points and all that jazz, put the name that you would like on the leaderboard. Please do this every time you post. I can't tell you how many triples and doubles I had of SO many names. It took me so long to figure out who the heck was who.
Also, please please please wait until you have finished the WHOLE task before you post it. Alot of people were just posting one book for a 2 book task a month before the other one and then not reposting that book when they actually finished the book. It took me so long to go back through the thread to find that they did indeed read 2 books for the challenge but one book was just posted elsewhere.
