The video that Sherri posted a link for had pictures of Diego Luna as Asil. I love that idea. It reminded me how much I love Asil's character. Sigh!




And Diego Luna is hot (IMHO)! I don't like facial hair for the most part, but I like it on him.

I love all the books, though I have yet to really get into Anna and Charles's books I have read Cry Wolf, fell in love with Asil when I read that book.
However given the way he is described, "lovely, his face was refined and elegant, his skin, was teak and sunlight."

Even his original name. Hussan is Middle Eastern, so I've always viewed him as closer to Middle Eastern if not full on Middle Eastern visually.

I'd have to agree that someone who is Middle Eastern in origin fits Asil's description better.

I agree too. Definitely Middle Eastern rather than Spanish, although there are places in Spain where the population look very M.E. because of the length of time that the Moorish Empire controlled Spain.
