Im only about 9 pages in my book but so far I like it. So far its introduced some of the characters. One of the main characters is Haley, the story is told by her and in the first few pages it tells the "reader" about her and what she's like.
Im reading a called "North" by Donna Jo Napoli. Ive read about 100 pages so far, and its a pretty good book. Theres a lot of adventure and action in this book. a 12 year old kid named Alvin is the main character, and he leaves home and heads for the north pole on his own.
The book Im currently reading is "Angels & Demons" by Dan Brown.
So far, the main character, Robert Langdon, has been called upon by the head of a huge research lab in Switzerland. A scientist has been murdered at this lab and was branded with "illuminati" on his chest. The head scientist didn't know what to do and called Langdon because he is a symbologist and thought he could help out. Langdon arrived at the lab and is just now seeing the body for the first time.
The book i am currently reading is "the last dance"
What is going on in my book is that a 13 year old girl who is in love with ballet has just found out she has diabetic. She is thinking about giving up dancing and she hates having diabetic. She acts like her world is coming to an end. I like the book a lot so far the only thing I don't like is how the character acts. I am about half way done with this book maybe even a little more than that.
Where the Red Fern Grows I am reading Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. So far in the book it goes to a man's childhood and his dog wanting days. He doesn't just want any dogs, he want's two coon hound dogs for hunting. I like how it describes the outdoors and how it is from like the 1930's is my guess. I have read 30 pages so far.
The book I am currently reading is called "Leaving Paradise"
It is about a kid that gets into an accident and has to go to lockup for a year and then returns to his town of Paradise. When he returns everything has changed and he ironically ends up hooking up with his accident victim. I like this book because it isn't predictable and I have read 160 pages.
the book im reading is called storm breaker, alex the main character just found out his uncle got murdered and that he was a spy, so far i have read 32 pages
I am currently reading the book "speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. I'm on page 160 and so far I do like the book. The main character is Melinda who speaks very little because of something that had happen during the summer at a party. It hasn't said what happen but it involved in Melinda calling the cops, and because of this her grades start slipping except for one class, art.
I am currently reading the book "Blue is for Nightmares" Laurie Faria Stolarz. I am on page 41 so far and i am really enjoying the book. It is about a girl named Stacy who has nightmares about the future. Her nightmares now are about her friend Drea dying.
I am currently readingTouching the Void: The True Story of One Man's Miraculous Survival by Joe Simpson and I'm on page 58. I really enjoy this book it is about adventure and survival. It is about Joe simpson and Simon Yates, who climb to the top of a peak in the Andes. Joe ends up breaking his leg and Simon is forced to cut the ropes in order for him to survive. Joe survived the fall and has to crawl back to base camp.
The book I am currently reading is "A Step From Heaven" by An Na
I have read 90 pages and the book is really good so far. It is about a girl named Young Ju. She hears she is moving to "Mi Gook" which is what they call America in Korea. She thinks that Mi Gook means heaven. After they move she figures out that Mi Gook does not mean heaven and her hopes are crushed. She has to go to school and learn all of the American ways and teach them to her mom, dad, and little brother. One thing that I do not like about the book is they way they say words in korean. It makes it hard to understand because it switches from english to korean. Although it is hard to understand sometimes it is a very good book and has been really interesting so far.
I am currently reading the book "shadows" by John Saul. So far i can tell it is going to be a great book. John Sauls books usually are. I am only about 30 pages into this book but so far its about a boy who is extremely smart and his brain works different then others so everything comes very easy for him. I like this idea because it leaves alot of options for the story line. I havent found anything i dislike so that is a plus =)
I am reading Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. I like to spend time out doors and I love my dog. I can relate to this young man wanting dogs to go hunting with. It's not the same without them.
I am reading Stealing Heaven. I am only on page 15 and i like it so far. It is about a girl named Dani whose mom is a burglar. She helps her mom steal things and then they move right away. Her dad introduced her mom to burglary and he got caught and went to jail. He broke out and she doesnt know where he is now.

I am reading:
This last weekend, I found myself getting into a power struggle with my three year old kids, so on Sunday night, I downloaded this to my iPad.
So far, it is pretty good, but I do get a little annoyed by the know-it-all tone of most parenting books, but there is certainly some good information about connecting with my kids and making sure I am the captain of the ship---calm and confident.
I am also and have been reading "The Hangman's Daughter." I am just not getting into it. I might quit reading it.
