AnnaRose (book-thief) | 3 comments Alright so im 13 and i absolutely love to write. I think i could be good enough to get a book published, the only problem is i cant get one finished. Every time i start one i get really excited and do like a couple chapters and then i just stop. Then i give it up and find a new thing i want to write. Im currently working on a book, and my best friend says its awesome. But im doing the same thing again, i dont write on it enough and i feel like its never going to get finished which is very discouraging. What should i do?

C Try setting a goal for yourself whether it's a word count goal or the amount of time you wish to finish your book.

Also just try and write everyday. It doesn't matter if you write a few pages or even a few paragraphs. Anything is better than nothing at all.

I hope that helps :)

Rosalyn Leigh (batistebespeaks) i have to say that just having a certain standard of discipline is a good way for you to succeed at this. it's just like what carina said about setting a goal for yourself. you've can start by incorporating it into your life the way you would with brushing your teeth at the same time every morning or something like that. set aside some time everyday, whether it be for half an hour or 6 hours, set some kind of schedule and push yourself non-stop through it. i hope this helps you further and good luck =)
