Introduce Yourself

TEA LEAVES AND TAROT CARDS. Jayne Anne Krentz endorsed this paranormal sensual romance set in the Regency era.
I just finished reading a reissue by Diana Palmer entitled MAGNOLIA and enjoyed the unusual 1900 Atlanta, Georgia setting.

Currently I'm reading The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgerton series #2) by Julia Quinn. I've also been attempting to read Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander series #2) by Dianna Gibaldon for the past month or so, but I'm having trouble getting into it.

I've also read a number of novels by Julia Quinn.
I both read and write Regency romance. The Outlander series is really great.

I'm Rebecca from Central NY - mom of 1, teacher of 103 8th graders this year. Treasure my breakfast as it is often my only time to read a few pages in piece and I'll read just about anything (although my hubby says my main characters are almost always women - a fact I'd never noticed).

I am Shannon and I live in Southern Indiana. I love Historical fiction with my favorite author being Sharon Kay Penman. I do like a lot of YA books. My favorite YA is The Hunger Games trilogy and The mortal Instruments along w/ Shannon Hale. I really have enjoyed Francine Rivers The Mark of the Lion series which takes place in Rome 62 A.D. I am always reading but find I never have anyone to talk about the books I read with. Hope to engage in some good talks with you all.

It would be interesting to discuss books with someone other than my hubby since he usually just nods.

Welcome to the 'Madness' Natalie D. Can't wait to talk books with you :)

I totally get the nodding hubby thing. Mine does the same thing if I try to talk to him about books.

I love historical fiction, stores that I can't predict, and stories that really allows you to understand the characters.
P.S Intelligent stories are awesome x3

Eirian - I'm from N. Cali :)

Mandi,
I haven't read many "humor" genre type books, but the Night Huntress and Mortal Instruments series have a lot of great one liners in them if you don't mind paranormals. I also hear the Jane Jameson books are funny, but I haven't read them.
If you like historicals, Lisa Kleypas writes some characters that are very amusing and are good for a smile. Her Hathaways series was constantly putting a smile on my face.

Just found this group. I'm an author who writes romantic comedies and chicklit mysteries
Happy Romance Reading to all!
:)

My fave authors are Nora Roberts (and J.D. Robb), Diana Gabaldon, Marie Ferrarella, Julia London, just to name a few...
I read 4-7 books a week, fiction and non-fiction. I'm loving GR and I just wish I had had it years ago so I could keep up with all the books I've read and forgotten about. :-) (Of course, I had to throw a smiley face in there. LOL)
I'm always looking for GR friends, so if my more outrageous reading choices won't offend you, you're welcome to send me a friend request. :-)
