Dee (austhokie) i'm going to try Visions of Magic (Awakening, #1) by Regan Hastings - it looks interesting and has been sitting on the TBR for a little while

Christina (AKA Babbling) (babblingbookreviews) I'm in. :-)

And I'll be reading the same, Dee -

Ooh, you know what gals I think I will do the same! What the hell, that looks good LOL

Visions of Magic (Awakening, #1) by Regan Hastings

Christina (AKA Babbling) (babblingbookreviews) It's the BOM at Serious Overload of Series so it was a no-brainer for me. :D

message 6: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ I'm going to read Charmed & Dangerous (Bronwyn the Witch, #1) by Candace Havens .

message 7: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) FYI - this will work for the get another name category (Regan Hastings is also Maureen Child)

Michelle Gilmore Hmmm..... right now I'm wondering if I'll read Iron Crowned (Dark Swan, #3) by Richelle Mead , or The Outlaw Demon Wails (Rachel Morgan/The Hollows, #6) by Kim Harrison , but I'm definitely participating in this one.

That's right! I forgot about that. Now I have to decide whether to use this book for that category or Beyond the Night (Joss Ware/Colleen Gleason).

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead (Rachel Morgan/The Hollows, #2) by Kim Harrison

message 12: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I read The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers (Demon Slayer, #2) by Angie Fox which has a group of biker witches in the storyline. It was pretty good, a little cheesy, but I liked it. I also read Ill Wind (Weather Warden, #1) by Rachel Caine which had Djinn in the storyline. Very enjoyable book, looking forward to moving on in the series!

message 13: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ I read Charmed & Dangerous (Bronwyn the Witch, #1) by Candace Havens which was ok but not a series I would continue. Written in first person POV in diary form. Too choppy for my tastes.

message 14: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) I really liked Ill Wind! I'm def. going to have to get the next one in the series...

Dee (austhokie) finished up Visions of Magic (Awakening, #1) by Regan Hastings last night...aside from a few first in the series weaknesses (having to fill in the backstory etc)...I really enjoyed it and can't wait for october and the next one to come out

Nairabell | 27 comments I read Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole which I really enjoyed, even though Bowen can mope more than Angel in whiny mood lol :)

Christina (AKA Babbling) (babblingbookreviews) Visions of Magic (Awakening, #1) by Regan Hastings

The world building is the big draw for me. The witches, atoning for the mistake they made centuries before.

As I said over at SOS' Book of the Month thread, the author did a great job with setting the with hunt atmosphere. It's a romance, so you know everything will work out for Torin and Shea, but it's a grim book in some ways.

I will be reading the next book.

Lisa O. | 77 comments Finished The Good, the Bad, and the Undead. For the most part I really liked this book, it had a lot of action and was pretty fast paced and not too predictable. But Rachel was driving me crazy for most of it. I thought everyone that was yelling at her was right most of the time but she would just get pissed off and not listen to anyone. I like this series enough to keep reading, but I hope she's not quite so annoying in the next ones.

message 19: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ Do we have a feature creature for May???

message 21: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ I was just checking. I'm doing that one too.
