I almost don't have anything to add that I haven't said before in other topics here.

The world of the curseworkers is unique, and something I haven't read before in a PNR/UF. It revolves around a family of people who can harm others with a single touch. Each of them has a different and unique ability, all of them being dangerous in their own way.

It's nice to see another YA series with a male lead. These are few and far between. This one was appealing because he had flaws and insecurities to overcome, but never felt like I was listening to the voice of a female, which has been my complaint with a few other YA's that have a male protag.

I think the first book was a tiny bit stronger than the second one, but I enjoyed them both and can't wait for the next one.

I thought the first one was ok, I did like the world, and do plan on reading the second one.

After hearing just OK comments about Holly Black's Modern Fairy series, I was very skeptical about reading White Cat, but I loved it. It was somewhat confusing in the beggining because, unlike other authors that load the first book with information, Ms. Black explained the world and setting as the book moves along. Once I understood what was going on, I was hooked. Cassel is a great male lead (One of the few good male narrators in books) and the worls is amazing. So refreshing and different. Very excited to read Red Glove once it comes out! The ending in book 1 left me sooo anxious...

I didn't want to like White Cat as much as I did. I was following Holly on twitter at time and right before the release and it seemed every two seconds she was tweeting reviews or links to reviews and RT'ing comments about how awesome the book was. In the end it all got so annoying that I just had to unfollow her and it made me not want to read the book at all. But. But dang it it had an awesome cover, a great blurb and I'm really, really easy and have no will power what-so-ever and in the end I really liked it. (Even though I barely remember anything about it now....)

You know I still haven't gotten on the Twitter bandwagon. I wonder if following certain authors would irritate me enough to sway my reading decisions. You know, almost like peaking behind the curtain? I've heard Rob Thurman was also really irritating...

The only twitter that I followed was Kelley Armstrong. Before Frost Bitten came out she set up an account for Elena and wrote an entry a day for a couple of months before hand that lead up to the opening of the book. I thought it was fun. If you didn't read it before the book it wouldn't matter, but if you did some things made sense faster.

You know, I don't think that I'd recommend it...or at least not around the time when they are going to be promoting new projects! I was following Libba Bray, I think it was, because I love her blog. But she was another one who took the promotion to an almost annoying point, but when it wasn't around time for promoting her tweets were really fun and funny. Unless I'm confusing her with someone else...hm.

Oh, I do love Bray's blog, she has a wicked sense of humor!

I like following Cassie Clare cause she's always answering fan questions about her books. She seems really cool and down to earth.
But since I'm in GR all the time now, I barely get on Facebook or Twitter anymore =/

I liked this series. I loved the ending. I loved how open ended it was. And I really like Cassel as a character. I hope this one gets picked up as a movie or a tv show or something. YA seems to be big in Hollywood right now and this series has nothing to do with vampires (are they finally heading out?) soooo....I'd watch.
