Nadine is a Channel 75 news reporter on the crime beat. She is an ambitious but ethical reporter, and at one point, Eve saves her life.

I love when Nadine comes in with all of the goodies to bribe her way into Eve's office. It really plays on the adage about cops and doughnuts. She brings brownies and cookies too. Yep, I'd let her in. I also like that she has become a friend to Dallas. She's figured prominently in some Trina scenes and she was hilarious. I especially likes when she says, "You bitch", she cracks me up every time.
:) Nadine's great! Her friendship has come a long way since book 1 and especially 2! I'd love to see her fall completely head-over-heels, STUPIDLY in love though! ;)
I like how Nadine knows her limits. She pushes as far as she can. I crack up every time I hear Eve say "the investigation is ongoing." REALLY? LOL It's been fun to see Eve & Nadine's special "codes" throughout the books. Ways for Eve to trigger Nadine to release some certain bit of information without actually giving it to her openly. Covers a lot of "butt" that way (HAHA)
I know, how she says things like "Oh, i am not allowed to tell you anything, but if I were you i would look into such and such."
I love it when Nadine pulls out her recorder and Eve tells her to put it away. I love the way Nadine reacts; she comes up with some good comebacks.
I love how every time i read one of their interactions, i ALWAYS know the basic gist of what they are going to say, but it seems so fresh each time!

So predictable but it wouldn't be right if it wasn't said!

Don't forget the blah blah that sometimes comes with lead comments.

so so so true!
I was rereading Betrayal and I read that Nadine is supposed to have dark/dirty blond hair...however I've always imagined her with dark chocolatey brown hair.Am I the only one?
Well, when she was described with dirty blonde hair, that's what I went with. I conjured up Amy Robach immediately and that's who Nadine is for me today.

one of my favorite scenes between Nadine and Eve isthis scene
Eve "Have I ever told you what he can do to the female body with a single fingertip?"
Nadine Nadine leaned forward. "No."
Eve "Good. Just wanted to be sure."
Nadine "Bitch," Nadine said with a laugh."
I added a photo of Kristin Lehman in the casting photo page. Let me know what you think. I think she'd make a great Nadine.
I'm lol at that quote from above..Sheri posted. That was a good one Eve pulled on Nadine...She even had her leaning in to hear better! HaHa..
I love the friendship that develops between Nadine and Eve--sure they benefit each other professionally, but how they begin to care about one another is so coolie. That was really becoming clear in Glory in Death, Eve's reaction to Nadine's kidnapping...
It broke my heart to read the scene where Morse was terrorizing Nadine in the park before & after Eve arrived. To see her in such a horrifying situation with that lunatic and thinking she was seconds from dying was so emotional. And I think she would have hated having anyone (especially Eve) see her crying & being so broken down like that. Very emotional moving & yet scary scene.
Nadine is such a strong, vibrant character. And so very similar to Eve in many ways. It was a hard scene to read. But what happens to Nadine is crucial to how she reacts and relates to Eve in the future, I think she understands so much better.
What if he was a suspect in Eve's case? But the more Nadine digs on him, the more she falls for him. Maybe he's hiding a secret or protecting someone else even though he didn't do the crime. Eve and Nadine would butt heads in that area. Nadine believes him to be innocent and Eve is yet to be convinced. She does have a job to do after all. Then Nadine reminds Eve of how she met Roarke and those similar circumstances. It wouldn't be a repeat of Eve/Roarke's development but this guy is more vulnerable in some way and Nadine feels the need to defend/protect him. My brain is running away on me so ignore this if it makes no sense. :)
Haha, can't use those characters though! I have all sorts of ideas. It's just putting it down on paper or in writing that's hard. I don't have enough vocabulary in my arsenal to write a book. English is my second language. Maybe Robb is lurking here and she'll use it. :D

Love the scene in Immortal when Nadine is pushing Eve for more info and Eve basically tells her to back off and not ruin things...that she "almost considers her a friend". I had to laugh at that one! Love Nadine!
