I worked on a quilt. It's far from being finished though. I was supposed to be on a quilt retreat that's going on right now. But I realized I was putting too much pressure on myself to meet deadlines at work so cancelled. This morning, one of my friends posted pictures from the retreat on Facebook. The caterer made sewing machine shaped cookies!
I've been crocheting a lot, I wish I knew how to quilt. And knit. But not enough to DO anything about it. :)
I am recovering crafter! I say that because I used to have so many different things going on at once and have so many supplies and stuff, I could probably open my own store! A lot was for my girl scouts. We made soap, mosaics, papercrafts, beading, a bit of everything. I just joined a local group called Drunken Knitters. They meet at a local coffee/wine bar once a month. There are knitters and crocheters and people who would like to learn both. So, I am going to barter crochet skills for knitting ones. At the next meet up we will make hats for premies at a local hospital.
google meetup.com. there are tons of social groups for everything from hiking/outdoors activities, dining groups, movies/books everything. All ages and not a dating thing, just socializing. (I guess it could be dating if you wanted it to be, but that is not the intent)
When I was a kid I was fascinated by soapmaking and candlemaking. I never actually tried to do it, but I was always checking out library books on it. This one book on candlemaking I checked out about 40 times.

I didn't even know it was national craft month.
