Welllll,I do have a new project Not a book...remember LISETTE? Jennifer, Karla, Jeanine, Mike (where the hell are you anyway?). I will finish that one...maybe, this winter? certainly next year (I have my fingers crossed). :/
So, my NEW project comes with a blog...
http://sharonsfancy.blogspot.com
If you stop by, say Hi ... or something :D
This is a whole new venture for this computer illiterate.
I had no idea you could do so much with paper mache. Great job Sharon. I agree with ♥Cheshire Catt♠, you are very talented!
Thank you Noelle. So fun to run across you here and see you stopped over there at my blog. Wish I had seen it before now. I feel like I'm talking to myself on it...and that feels very VERY weird :D Then I wonder if I'm the only one who visits. Then I believe I am. Then I don't want to visit very often...on and on it goes...Anyway, thank you for your generous comment. Makes my day!
And THANK YOU Catt for stopping at my blog and your kind comment.I know your job was 'overseer' on that BR project. And, you offered some good suggestions. I realized also at the time that it would be tough for us to accomplish this and really not surprised it went flat.
Don't know why I thought to throw a dig in on that subject.
With a group name like Bodice-rippers, this must be a fun place! I'd like to introduce my satire on romance novels, The Pits of Passion (by Amber Flame), a literal "bodice-ripper." This is NOT your mother's romance novel! Here's one of the reviews I've gotten:"Four Roses! When I saw that The Pits of Passion is described as a historical romance satire by the publisher I was not sure as to what to expect. Of course, shortly after the first few pages I was laughing so loud that I had to explain to my husband what it was that had me so amused. Even though this is the first romance satire I have ever read, I strongly believe that Ms. Amber Flame did a wonderful job. This was truly an enjoyable story that I intend to read again. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, this one is certainly for you. Make sure that you read it with an open mind because it simply is outrageous and on the sensual side of the scale." —A Romance Review
Caution: not for the faint-of-heart.
Wow, Melissa! I just read your book, and it was great! You've really managed to capture the insane, OTT qualities of BRs with this hilarious satire. And the amazing part is, it's not really even that exaggerated. I just loved the end, too. You've done a really great job with this book. I give it 5 stars.
Hey, Evelyn, thanks a bunch! I really had a lot of fun writing that, altho I seriously doubted any publisher would pick it up. Imagine my surprise when one did! I was a little afraid I would alienate some romance readers because I poke holes in every sacred cow of the genre, but it seems to be received in the spirit it was written, and for that I'm grateful. Glad you enjoyed it!
It was my pleasure. I may love to read BRs, but I'm certainly not above poking fun at them. I know very well just how ridiculous this genre can be sometimes. And I must say, you really nailed that in your book.
What's funny is that I wrote it in longhand on blue line on my breaks at work (phone company). Before I knew it, everyone in the office was reading it, sharing pages back and forth; even installers were coming in on their lunch breaks to read it! I would have to hunt down whoever had the last page so I could continue. I really do like *good* romances, but I couldn't resist taking this over the top.
Wow, longhand? Really? I don't think I could have done that. Longhand is just not for me. I'd actually rather write a book on my iPhone than write in longhand. Well, I think every genre could use a little mockery every once in a while. Some more than others.

Hi Everyone--Great news! My Civil War romance, Thorns of Eden, has been nominated for Historical Book of the Month and, yes, it's a BR!!! That's the way I like 'em, so that's the way I wrote it! Anyway, it's a tight race between the four books and I could use your vote! Go to http://ibookbuzz.com/ . Only members can vote, but it only takes one sec to join and then vote. I feel like Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite, "Vote for Thorns of Eden, and all your wildest dreams will come true!" Anyway, I appreciate the votes : )Diana Ballew
Good morning everyone! Who wants a free Kindle? Digi Books Cafe is running a fun contest. It's a treasure hunt and only takes a moment. Details are on my webpage. Good luck!Diana Ballew

Hi Ladies,I'm brand new to GoodReads, and I just finished my very first novel: After Midnight, a thrilling full-length historical romance set during the early Napoleonic wars and Regency period; it's available for both Kindle and Nook, and is approx 150,000 words.
....A Rakehell Rogue....
In a world plagued by Revolution and Intrigue, love is the most dangerous game of all. When Lucien Warrick’s mission to rescue a French ambassador’s family from the Revolution goes awry, he has no way of knowing that he’ll meet his lethally lovely charge again in London. A legendary shadow with godlike reputation in international intrigue, the Night Wolf is about to meet his match.
....A Defiant Damsel....
As the sole support for her remaining family, Jacqueline Gervais has no time to play damsel in distress. Instead, she turns her unusual talents towards rescuing the Calvary and British artillery by spying for the Crown. A woman as skilled in deception as she is in sabotage, The Golden Hind is a creature of fatal allure and a thousand faces.
....A Love That Will not be Ignored....
A war between two nations pales in comparison to their clash of wills and passion, but when a sinister web of betrayal and deceit forces them to become mortal enemies, will the cost be their lives, or their hearts? The fate of two empires hangs in the balance, and anything is possible...After Midnight.
I hope you enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it!Sincerely,
Eryn Lockhart
