True but she has other releases. For other series and there is a dream-hunter book out in November too so that be well 3 sort of for the DH world if ya include the second CON book in there.
Ahhhh I love Nick's books! They're always a quick read or me too! I love him as an adult and hes even cuter as a kid! ;)
I can't wait to read especially the little snippets of the far future in it. I hope we can get more hints about what happens.

Pretty good indeed. I'm glad Ambrose comes clean with Nick , ofcourse he's not saying everything but where's the fun in that. What mostly cought my attention was why Adarian is still alive when there is suppose to be only 1 malachai at a time. I'm pretty sure that Nick will meat Adarian face to face so the old man can come clean with his shit. Only I'm not sure if it would be in this book or the next.
Just finished the book and I'm still contemplating if I should write an actual review so I could talk with spoilers. (view spoiler)
Tempi could you by chance use the (view spoiler) til a couple more people read it? Wouldn't want to spoil things for others that haven't read it just yet.
Dhfan4life wrote: "Tempi could you by chance use the [spoilers removed] til a couple more people read it? Wouldn't want to spoil things for others that haven't read it just yet."That's why I'm not reading any of these posts. I haven't read the book yet. It's hard not to spoil things when talking about a book, no matter how hard we try.
I'd just not check this thread until I've read it. I mean, it's logical that there will be spoilers in here.
True. But given this is sort of a general thread about the book and not an actual discussion of what we thought of it so far. I thought it would still be best to rope off early thoughts so that it doesn't spoil it for others. I mean even I thought Tempi was posting possible theories about it and not what she actually had read when I first clicked the link to this thread. So it is a natural reaction to come here and likely see what others have posted as with any thread. And in general it would give everybody at least a fair shot to read it for themselves and further elaborate. Instead of someone coming along reading Tempi's thought and a back and forth may start about this or that not being true cause someone hasn't read the book just yet. That's my rationale is all.
Maybe in the future we could have two threads for the books. One for speculation and one with spoilers. The latter could be opened a few days before the book is released. Then, a few weeks after the release date, the no spoiler thread can be deleted.
Sounds like a good idea and fine by me. I don't normally post when the upcoming books are coming out. But if someone can keep on top of posting a thread for each thats more than fine.
I'm sure Lizabel wouldn't mind helping to post for Belador or if other readers of those series are up for it then that is great.
I'm too old, really, to be reading YA but since SK said we would be learning lots more about the DH world in these...... The other two books were ok but this book really has quite a bit of info in it. I'm quite surprised at that since usually she dispenses it in drips.Anyone want to speculate on who Virgil might be?
Sorry, DHFan. I was just absolutely shocked to find a clue to a cliffhanger from another book buried in this one.
I am tempted to start these books but am still undecided. I just want to continue in the current timeline with the curent DH's I love.........I just don't know about these books.
It's fine Denise. Hopefully that lures enough folks into finishing it or getting started on it and can come over and comment. I just didn't want too much immediate info leaking out about it the day after it came out and others feeling like they were missing out or someone was fibbing. I've seen that happen on another site I was on and it was nuts.

DHFan, I struggled with what to post. I didn't want to post an actual spoiler, so thought that the page #'s would be enough for those reading and, as you said, get a non reader interested. I was just so stunned by that info, did not see that coming!
Do you know how to use the spoiler brackets Denise? Can say something to the affect of "Wow didn't see that coming page numbers and what actually happened in the spoiler brackets and then other non-info after that". I hope no one thinks I'm trying to stop them from talking about the book at all. Just that since we have only had two posters so far that have read it. And came back with something to say, I just didn't want any one else to feel slighted by new info or don't think something is true. So can think of it like a review just hiding the juicy bits of the story.
I'm still confused about how the events in the CoN books will affect the DHs series. The romance between Nick and Kody gets too PNR in my opinion and too cliché.
I started to dislike Nick's mother. She has no faith in her son and I hate the way she treats him.
The highlights for me are the appearances of the DH characters. Thorn was the best about the book.
I am currently reading Infamous. I'm on page 150. I want to know what Kody is! The not knowing is killing me! I also want to know how Nick's mom and dad met. Can anyone tell me if these issues will be addressed in this book? I'm upset at the way Nick's mom treats him too. She never believes him or listens to him.
Tonia wrote: "I am currently reading Infamous. I'm on page 150. I want to know what Kody is! The not knowing is killing me! I also want to know how Nick's mom and dad met. Can anyone tell me if these issues..."yes Tonia it will tell you about it. I think its a bit close to the end though
Denise wrote: "I'm disappointed in Cherise. I liked her much better in the other books."Yeah the more I read about her, the more my heart broke for nick. What I found a bit ironic though was that (view spoiler)
Denise wrote: "I'm disappointed in Cherise. I liked her much better in the other books."In Cherise's defense I think the version we are seeing of her is the very young, unsure single mother. That loves her son to pieces. But likely is so scared what happened to her will be his fate as well. So she loves him "harder and tougher" than most other moms normally would.
Dhfan4life wrote: " In Cherise's defense I think the version we are seeing of her is the very young, unsure single mother. That..."I hear what you're saying. I know she loves nick like its nobody business, that hospital scene definately proved that but at the same time she had absolute no faith in him. She always assumed the worst and never gave him a chance to prove himself. The events leading to the hospital scene says it all.
I just think it is a over protective all consuming love that she has for him. Like how Mama Lo had for her cubs. Kind of a love beyond reasoning in a way.
lol I figured you'd throw Mama Lo in there. I was actually thinking about her looking at your first post. How she was the same exact way especially with the Aimee and Fang situation and then she died for them.....Idk I'm on the fence with her for now, maybe she'll redeem herself in the next book.
Haha, obvious comparison and no doubt why they even let Cherise work with them and have no problems with her. Brute force mama! lol.
Haha! I'll give her that. She may look like poodle but she is def a pit bull at heart...or a fierce chihuahua
So, today I was finally able to gather my thoughts regarding Infamous. This was a book full of information, I struggled a bit through it. And it filled me with millions of questions.Apparently this is the fourth time Ambrose is trying to change the past, uh? And it will be the last one. But the good news is that in a different metaverse there was a Nick who actually managed to not turn evil! It can be done! We just need our Nick to survive long enough to figure out how :D
And I finally understood how Acheron could have seen Nick's future so clearly at the start and then nothing else. It's not just that Nick was going to become a friend to him, but that Nick is starting to use his powers, so his future is now hidden.
Also, maybe I found the reason why Madoc wouldn't neither inherit the Malachai powers nor die: it's said in Infamous that only one child can be the heir. Either you are, or you die before your tenth birthday because your human half can't handle the demon blood. But Madoc was never human, he was a god. So, could this be the reason? He wasn't meant to be the Malachai and he should have died, but he didn't because he didn't have a human part that would have been consumed? And I never thought about that, but aside from being an Oneroi, Madoc is half demon as well. After all, Adarian is his father. And an evil father who wants to absorb him, now that he knows about his existence!
Also, Adarian wants to find "the ones who cursed him to this existence and end that curse once and for all". So... is he talking about the Primal Gods who created them or someone else? Ambrose mentioned that a bargain was made that required all the Sephirii and all the Malachai to be killed. A bargain made by whom? The six Primal gods? Or someone else? I don't remember if it was mentioned in the DH series. The Chthonians maybe?
And how can Thorn know Ambrose?
Nick made a bargain with Artemis to save Kody and gave her some of his blood, so now I wonder, does this mean that Artemis gained some of the Malachai powers, like she did with Ash? And will this bargain prevent Nick to "bond" with Stryker later on?
And who sent the blood demons after Nick?
Also, we finally start catching some glimpse that Cherise is not just what she seems (yes, I was spoilered up and down while I looked at the lawsuit that came up), when she say that she had a dejavu about Kodi and it was almost like she already knew her. And Nekoda glows (literally) everytime she talks about the Primal Gods O_O
Then, surprise surprise, Nekoda said that she shared a true love bond with her brothers and "one other person". Whoooooooooo? Here, Kody Kody Kody, tell me. Because I'm sorry, but I'm STILL not sold on you and Nick. Not one bit, not even after the vision of her dying in her wedding dress. Sorry :(
Some light is shed on the Primal Gods as well, at least on their names. Good, I want more now. And I love that Caleb was with the army of good during the Primus Bellum ^^
Now the big questions:
1) what changed? Why there can be two Malachai in the same time? Does this mean there are two Sephirii? Or maybe Nekoda (an agent of good-I think) is balancing Nick? She was never there in any of Nick's past lives, according to Ambrose and now she is... so, could she be the reason?
2) Nekoda's brother "had promised her that within the balance that had allowed one of the Sephirii to turn against his own and bring them down, the Malachai could do the same. A Malachai would be born with equal balanced parts inside him—just like Jared had been, and that that one special beast could be turned to their side and used against Noir and his sisters."
So, Jared wasn't a full Sephiroth? Because Nick is half human. Jared also was half-something? And that's the reason he could turn against the others?
Questions, questions... and I'm not even writing them all down from my notes, or this would never be over. But now that I committed it all to memory, I can finally move on to Inferno!

Go to school. Get good grades. Stay out of trouble. That’s the mandate for most kids. But Nick Gautier isn’t the average teenager. He’s a boy with a destiny not even he fully understands. And his first mandate is to stay alive while everyone, even his own father, tries to kill him.
He’s learned to annihilate zombies and raise the dead, divination and clairvoyance, so why is learning to drive such a difficulty? But that isn’t the primary skill he has to master. Survival is.
And in order to survive, his next lesson makes all the others pale in comparison. He is on the brink of becoming either the greatest hero mankind has ever known.
Or he’ll be the one who ends the world. With enemies new and old gathering forces, he will have to call on every part of himself to fight or he’ll lose everyone he cares about.
Even himself.
