WEEKLY DISCUSSION

This weeks prompt: A lot of public schools are going to school uniforms. What do you feel about school uniforms? Would they be good or bad and why? How would it change SSRHS?

At least four sentences.

I am reading The winter Room by Gary Paulsen. I am at the end of the book and the uncles are telling stories. They are just telling the whole family about what they did when they were kids.


I wanted to read this book so i am picking it for the giveaway.


I do not think uniforms at our school would not be good. I think people would want to break the rules more if we had uniforms. The uniforms would work if the students decided on what they had to wear. I don't think our school will get uniforms, but if we do it would be really weird.

Right now I am reading Revenge of the Shadow King. At the part I am at there school was vandalized.
The main character is Max, he is rich.

I am reading
In my book Belly just told Conrad that she loved him. Belly is the main character. She is a 16 year old girl that goes to the family beach house every summer with her moms best friends family. She has never been known as petty until this summer when she finally grew up.

I want the book Will work for prom dress.


I do not think uniforms would be good for Sauk Rapids because people don't really disobey the dress code right now, but if we make them dress a certain way they will disobey it more. People only break rules that are made. They would change our school because people would be more rebellious towards the authorities.

I'm reading Comeback Kids: Hot hands by mike Lupica. They are at recess at school playing four square. The main character is billy and he is in basketball.

I think this would be a could be a fun book to read.



I for one would switch schools, because that is the dumbest idea ever.It would make people not want to fallow the rules even more. I and a lot of people would not like this idea. I think we should stay with what we have right now.

The book that looks interesting to me is The Coruptable.

I am reading Tunnels. Right now Will's dad has left their house and Will and his sister are trying to find him. Will and his friend Chester broke into the museum where Will's dad works to find out where he is.
This is the book that i wanted to win for the give away.

School uniforms here would be a terrible idea. I don't think everyone should wear uniforms if just a few people are violating the dress code. The only guys that break the dress code are people that wear their pants to their knees so give them a belt. Its mostly girls breaking the dress code.

I am currently reading Red Ridding Hood
At this point in the book Valerie's family just gave up one of their baby goats as a sacrifice to the Wolf. Valerie tried to save the goat, Flora, but just as she reached the coat the wolf arrived and ate the goat. The main character of the book is Valerie, who has a sister named Lucie.

I think school uniforms are a bad idea. I believe it's a bad idea because the way people dress are basically a way of showing individual freedom and personality. By forcing a dress code onto a school you're causing another reason for kids to rebel against school.

I am trying to win the book : The Third

I am currently reading: . This book is about a school shooting where Peter goes into the school and shoots over 22 people. Right now he is in jail and they are piecing together the days events and what led up to it. The story is told from many points of view.

I would want to win the book: because I really enjoy books by Sarah Dessen.

I don't think we should have school uniforms. People would just want to change the dress code even more than they do now. People like to dress their own ways and taking that away from them would aggravate them. SRRHS would feel like a different place with uniforms.

This book is about a Harvard religious symbology Professor. He is called in the middle of the night to come to Rome and solve an intense mystery. A symbol from a long lost brotherhood has appeared, four cardinals have disappeared, and an assassin has threatened to kill them.

I would want to win this book.
I do not think we should get uniforms. This would take away a student's right to express themselves in their dress. Also, students would not want uniforms so they would rebel and just wear their normal street clothes. It would change SRRHS in the way that kids would want to come to school even less than they already do.

I wouldn't like school uniforms at our school.
I went to school with uniforms before, not fun.

I am currently reading "The Lost Hero" by Rick Riordan. The main character in this book is named Jason and he woke up on a bus on his way to the Grand canyon with his school. He doesn't know who anybody on the bus is, he doesn't know how he got there, and he doesn't know who he is. He doesn't know who anybody is but two people insist that they are his good friends. Piper and Leo.

I am choosing the book "The lightning thief" for the giveaway.

I don't think that we should go to school uniform. Everybody would be very sad if we went to uniforms. Guys never break the dress code so i don't think guys deserve that.

I really don't think that it would be necessary to get uniforms for our school. Students would most likely want to rebel against the uniforms, therefore, wearing their regular clothes. It would also probably cause people to feel that they are not able to express themselves through the way that they dress.

For this week's activity, I chose the book
"Insight" by: Diana Greenwood. I thought it looked interesting, so I entered into that giveaway.




I am currently reading
"There's No Place Like Home" by: Jen Calonita.
In my book, Kaitlin is filming a new TV show, practicing her driving skills, filling out college applications, and trying to figure out what movie to film this summer. She got into a terrible accident and now is in a dream about what her life would be if she wasn't an actress. Kaitlin is a teenager who is blonde, tall, and very pretty. She is always busy and stressed out.


I feel that if our school got uniforms, it would be a good and bad thing. Getting uniforms would be a good thing because everyone would have to dress the same minimizing cliques; brand names wouldn't matter anymore. This is also a bad thing because people want to be rebellious and probably wouldn't follow the dress code rules. Making everyone wear a uniform doesn't let you express yourself freely either. I think if SRRHS got school uniforms, the school would be more unified, and people would bully and harass their peers less.

I am currently reading Frozen Fire
At this point in the book the main character Dusty is min the hospital and the boy that has been calling lately is there and no one knows how he got there.

I am reading
The main character stephanie plum, is a grown up women that just got a job chasing a guy because he killed someone and if she brings him in she gets 10,000 dollars for it.

I wanted to read this book so i choose it for the give way.

Right now i'm am on page 266 of the book The Two Towers.
The mane character Frodo Bagins from the shire. Right now frodo and sam are at a secret hide out that faramir captin of gondor has brought them.

I belive that school's shouldn't have because no one really likes them. People don't want to pay for them. People might switch schools because of them. Kids will were normale clothes so they get sent home so they don't have to do there school work.

cant figure out how to put the pic on so I am reading Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) and so far it is realy good and I plan to keep reading it so far Sookie has met bill the vampire and he saved her life from beang beat up by the ratrays who she had saved bill from the night earlyer they were trying to drain him for his blood.

we should not change to school uniforms because people dont like them so they wont want to pay for them. They would have less fuss about who wares the aropostal things and holester but the groups that have formed wont realy change.
