I'm a tad distressed by James Patterson's television ads for his new book, "Toys." I may be too traditional, but it seems to me that books should not be promoted on television; these commercials seem to cheapen them.
That is true, but I guess with the economy being this bad, maybe that's what it takes, I will forgive, but you do have a valid point, his books are the best!
Probably part of his attempts to publicize himself. He's a guest star on Castle, so perhaps advertising television is an extension of that. Maybe he's trying to be creative with "expanding" his bottom line, if you will.
