Ok, new topic. this is kind of the opposite of our last discussion. The question is what is your least favorite book, and why? In fact, feel free to rant about it if you wish! LOL! Just remember to be nice to people even if you don't agree with them. :)

Antonia (n0palitx) Twilight.
I STRONGLY dislike the low vocabulary used throughout the book, and the repetitive metaphors. Also, I find Edward to be a creepy stalker . . . What kind of person watches you while you sleep and never tells you? Odd . . .

i saw the movie, half of it and i didn't like it so i don't even bother with the book.

Think I had to join this group just to tell you to NEVER read Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk . Well, I know not the first chapter anyways, because that was as far as I made it before I threw this book in the TRASH! Absolutely, unnecessarily effing disgusting. Definitely makes me want to vomit just thinking of it. Bleh!

LOL! Yes, you can cuss. As long as nobody else has a problem with it, and its not directed at any specific member of the group, we really don't care what sort of language is used.

Oh twilight...You know? it wasn't all that bad BEFORE it became symbol of romantic idealism for 12 year old girls. As soon as the movies came out, it pretty much hit rock bottom, and to the best of my knowledge, is still drilling through.

Kayla (kaylajlassi) | 22 comments I actually thought the story was pretty good.

Ok, so I just finished reading Beautiful Dead, and it started out ok...But then I started noticing some disturbing patterns.
1. Girl moves to new school
2. Girl is from a sunny location, and is inexplicably pale
3. Girl meets mysterious guy who everyone thinks is hot, but it too intimidated to approach.
And here is where the problem really starts.
4. said guy has skin thats cold to the touch.
5. Said guy doesn't sleep.
6. Said guy feels oddly attracted to girl
7. said girl knows he is dangerous, but doesn't care
8. Said guy is freakishly strong. or should I say supernaturally strong...
Can you see the paralell? This book just SCREAMS twilight wannabee. Thats what I think...But then again, a lot of people liked the book...maybe I'm just picky.

hahahaha! books with the same plots....

Natasha | 49 comments Mod
I hate it when people do that. I mean, can't those people come up with their own plot lines? If they can't actually think for themselves, they have no bussiness writing a book in my opinion. LOL! I've read sooooo many rip offs of twilight!! Its almost comical!

LOL! I don't think its ever going to stop actually. Did you know that the bedspread pattern that was used for Bella's bed in the movie is currently being sold at about $280 a set? before that it was just a regular Wallmart knock off. Its crazy that these people are able to get away with such huge price inflations just because in appeared once in a movie.
I heard that the last movie is going to be in two parts, like the harry potter movie. Is this true?

UGG! Still, I'll probably watch it, but only because I really like Taylor Lautner. You know, the movie has some really good actors in it, (like kellel Lutz, Talor launter, and Jackson Rathbone) But most of them don't actually get that many lines. Why higher an awsome actor if you're only going to have them stand in the back, and watch the crappy actors pretend they know what they are doing?

I can't believe they are doing 2 movies just like Harry Potter (btw so far i reallllllyyy like harry potter). Suck movies shouldn't have sequels let alone more movies than there are books.

message 24: by Andie (new)

Andie Samar (andiesamar) I know!! it's being a strange and bad tradition making two movies for one book... cause, you know?? They're going to make 2 movies for Mockingjay (The Hunger Games) I was shocked because... this book doesn't need two movies! I loved it and I think it's enough with one, what do you think??
I mean, okey, Harry Potter 7, the book was long and making 2 movies was okey... but in Breaking Down??it isn't even a good sequel!! ash... what directors do now a day...?? ruin our lives!

Well, maybe the mockingjay movie won't be so bad, because the hunger games movie actually looks like it might be really good. (At least Robert Patterson is nowhere near that one...my apologies to those of you who think he's a good actor)

I only hate it when they have to make two movies because they decided to add a bunch of stuff that wasn't in the book. That generally irritates me.

And then they "forget" to put in stuff that's actually in the books!!!! i think they are just trying to make us (the consumers of said dumb movies) pay more money... i don't know about u but if i watch one movie in a series i have to watch the rest no matter how sucktacular they are.

have you ever watched a movie... and its so awful that had you not read the book you would've have absolutely no idea what was going on? Those are the worst!

Well, twilight comes to mind. But it seems as if thats all we've complained about so far, so maybe we should think of something else to complain about.
