Do you guys think it's "good for us" to have been captured by fictional characters. And for that matter, does anyone really care if it may not be the best way for us to think lol? I personally think it is absolutely fine :p

haha ya! I wonder what parents think of it tho. I bet regardless of how they felt when they were young they would still think something was wrong with us lol

message 4: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) I don't really agree that being in love with EDWARD is healthy, because he is controlling and abusive, now, with KARTIK, your fine. LOL.

message 5: by Steph (new)

Steph (kitsune_chan) | 72 comments I agree with you, Emma, on Edward, but who is Kartik?

message 6: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) He's from a book called A Great and Terrible Beauty. You should read them, they are amazing.

Caila | 138 comments hey shay i'm reading twilight right now and i must agree Edward is hott!!!

message 15: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
HAHA, I LOVED the actor as Cedric but he is an ugly edward lol. He was a cute Cedric but he jst cant get up to edwards standards at all. Whgich I know is impossible but... I think its a split with how many people tihnk the actor is hot and the ones that dont. Like I said I think he is cute JUST NOT AS EDWARD!

message 16: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments um.... i don't no of any actor that can completly satisfy our expectations of Edward lol..yah he was a cute Cedric, i think he's doing a pretty good job but his hair could have been more copper

message 17: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
Thats true.

message 18: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol yah if they did i would be wondering if Edward was real!

message 19: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
Haha nice

message 20: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol

message 21: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments he is described as beautiful more so than a human could be!

message 22: by Moon (new)

Moon I don't see anything wrong with it. I think that in most cases it gives us standards. I can't imagine reading a book and not falling in love with the hero. Or villain, as the case may be in some instances.

message 23: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
I think it gives us expirence in a way. Shows us a viewpoint on a certian type of guy. I mean all people are different but it does give us some insight. Or at least I think so.

message 24: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments yah i guess it gives us an idea on what kind of guy is right for us!

message 25: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
Ya!

message 26: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments besides without crushes (from books) what would us book worms have to fantasize about? lol

message 27: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
You are completely right. haha I mean we could go with the whole some story teach you morals and stuff or history but really its the guys that add the special twist to a lot of books haha

message 28: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments yah i think its the gut that really gives the book its spice! lol

message 29: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments sorry guy not gut hehehe

message 30: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
LOL :p

message 31: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments ^_^ id get truly bored if there wasn't a book out there with appealing guys in it!

message 32: by Mathura (new)

Mathura (mathurarara) All my sisters are like this, and my mom knows it. I don't care/worry about it. They're not real. If they were... then stalking would be added into the mix... lol, jks. It's fun to read and can't help it if I become a teensy bit obsessed with certain characters. Hey, Parents, I'm READING!

message 33: by Sharayah (new)

Sharayah | 359 comments Mod
I know they should be happy that we enjoy reading so much! Haha regardless of our motivation to continue hehe

message 34: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol yah my mom loves it when i go to bed to read and she doesn't seem to care because she reads romance books all the time!

message 35: by Moon (new)

Moon I've been told that I should marry my books. XDDD

message 36: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol.. i wouldnt necessarily marry the book though just jump in it and marry the guys i liked

message 37: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments A little part of me says it's not healthy, but most of me says it's ok. In some cases it warns us what kinda guys to look out for, well showing you the guy who are ok. It gives you a whole look at relationships and stuff. Best though, it lets us get away from the everydayness of our lives, and lets us day dream about the perfect guy.

message 38: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments I totally agree with you Emily i think it helps discover exactly what(who) your looking for, but at the same time you don't want to compare your dream guys (the perfect ones in books lol) with the real ones too much because you could find one that shares a lot of the qualities and ignore him because he is not exactly the same.Or you could become so particular in guys that you don't see them for who they are!

message 39: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments Yup! Totally agreeing with that Caila!! (Peoples, esp don't look for another Edward... Even if he is incredibly dreamy)

message 40: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments hahaha, ohh but Edward's so amazing lol (i get what you mean.)^_^

message 41: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments He is amazing and VERY dreamy, but that's my point, he's TOO amazingness! You'll never find a guy like that!
Plus he is a little abusive!

message 42: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol he is perfect i think cuz lol like you said he's dreamy, protective, and doesn't have a huge ego! Edward never came across as abusive to me, he just had problems controlling his strength so he didn't hurt Bells, lol i guess we all see character a little differently. So yeah lol its impossible to find another 'Edward'!

message 43: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments No, I think we view him very much the same! He is a little emotional abusive is what I'm saying. One minute he says he loves Bella and will stay with her forever and the next second he's like "No! I shouldn't be with you!" But other than that I love him so much!

message 44: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments oh lol! yah I agree with you, thats what makes him better in my opinion though because it means he's not perfect and really cares for Bella.

message 45: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments Yeah, why does everyone accuse him of being perfect? Sure I say he is because he's my dream guy, but the reason I love him is because he's NOT perfect.

message 46: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol same here, it would be terrible to date a guy who was perfect. i would want a guy who's not perfect so i wouldn't feel so bad and could comfort them. Edward falls in to that category lol

message 47: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments haha totally!

message 48: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments hahaha seems like were on the same page lol!

message 49: by Emily (new)

Emily Farrar (ameraq) | 56 comments lol! We think the same!

message 50: by Caila (new)

Caila | 138 comments lol or we just have the same tastes in guys!
