Tamora Pierce (Tortall series), Meg Cabout (Prince Diaries, 1-800-Where-R-You), Sarah Dessen (The Truth About Forever, This Lullaby), Maureen Johnson (Devilish, 13 Little Blue envelopes) Clamp (Angelic layer, Chobits), Amy Tan (The Bonesetter's Daughter, Saving Fish From Drowning), and Rumiko Takahashi (InuYasha, Ranma 1/2)
I ADORE Tamora Pierce! I love her books. Meg is awesome too. I havent read any of Sarah Dessen but I am considering getting one of her books. Which one should I start with?
Start with Keeping the Moon or This Lullaby. Keeping the Moon is shorter, but still just as good. But besides that, you HAVE to read The Truth About Forever and Just Listen.
Ya those are the two I heard about. A few of my friends have read them and said they were amazing.
Polly Horvath (no hot lit. boys, just funny books). Everything on a Waffle is just a hoot, and you get recipes.
Meg Cabot,Eoin Colfer,Jk Rowling are my top 3
oh man this is hard...Jk Rowling totally (harry potter series was the first i truly read), Stephanie Meyer (twilight... its amazing!),Jenny Nimo (Charlie Bone),Christopher Paolini (Earagon) and loads of others!!
Ya Harry Potter was one of my first really big series I mean I read little treehouse and stuff and secrets of droon in like 1st and 2nd grade. But the first series I really got into and fell in love with characters etc.
yah i read tree house but harry potter was the first series i really picked up the details and information!
Hmm, favorite authors. Let me see...J.R.R. Tolkien, Lynn Kurland, Emmuska Orczy, Juliet Marillier, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Alexandre Dumas, Mark Twain, Patricia Briggs, and Robert Bloch.
thats alot of authors!! yah i agree shay, they were just right for kids who are some what fluent readers but can read such big chapters.
I don't really have a favorite author. I just like books that are in a series. I generally find a series I like and then try to read another series by the same author and I don't like it. Although Stephenie Meyer is pretty great. Jodi Picoult is the only author that stands out that didn't write a series off books.
its a really good series, more romance. Each book a Brotherhood tells. Like Wrath(the king and last pure blooded vampire on earth) is the first book called Dark Lover. Rhage is the second, then Z(can't remember how to spell his full name), next is Butch, then V(i don't know if i would have spelled his name right either), and last so far is Phury. I hope that they make a book for this other book for this one brother, his wife died(she was pregnant, so that was sad) and he hasn't come back yet. I really hope there will be one out soon about him. But yea good series not done yet. Haven't read Phury's yet^^
Stephanie Meyer is my fav fav!I also like Meg Cabot, Libba Bray (met her!) Tamora Pierce (met her!) Brian Jacques (met when I was REALLY young, I was basically a baby, so I don't remember!) and Ann Rinaldi! There are a few other authors who are good, but those are my favs, and Stephanie Meyer winning!
Him I Definitely like Stephanie Meyer...she's wonderful!, J.K. Rowling (awesome), Jinny Nimmo (love Charlie Bone series), Christopher Paolini, Angie Sage (Septimus Heap), and Jane Austin. Those aren't in any order, but I do like Stephanie Meyer the most, then J.K. Rowling!
If I listed all of them it would be a long list, so I'll summarize.-Meg Cabot
