Ha ha! Does anyone else really love reading, writing, and learning, but hate school? Or maybe just their school in particular....
Oh I love all writing, reding, Roleplaying, poetry analyzing, book discussing....All of that.
I cant claim to be a good writer for fear of people claiming that I'm a liar, but I've been complimented. :)
I like to write, and have been told I'm good, but I don't often show it to people. I don't want false thoughts about it, ya know? ^^

Oh, once my Language Arts teacher used my District Writing Assessment essay as an example to the class, saying she's score it a perfect 6.But that's not her job, those who rate those essays are rougher critics.
I just love to write, and that's enough for me, whether it be good or bad. Whether people like my rather odd writing style, or despise it.
Either way, writing's a hobby.
I've had a teacher use my works before. Poetry and regular writing exercises. And now I look at it and want to know how bad the other kids were if she used mine instead. XD

That's so cool, Scarlet! We don't really write anymore in my class, which I find weird, because we used to write all the time.
Elese wrote: "That's so cool, Scarlet! We don't really write anymore in my class, which I find weird, because we used to write all the time."That happens to me too! The girls in my class hate writing so we barely write anymore :(
I hate it when I look back at my writing and say "Holy Lord in Heavan! How did I possible get a good grade on that piece of crap?!"And then I laugh because of how horrible it is. And then I go re-write it in my head.

I know!! I can't even stand to read some of my old work.
That sucks as well, Andrea. Ya know, I don't think we've had on real creative writing assignment in class all year? How depressing!
I do that all the time, Campbell! I'll be flipping through an old notebook, find something, and promptly flip it shut in horror.

Even some of the stuff I wrote last summer I cant stand to read even half of. Though I of course don't regret writing it, because it helped me grow as a writer.
Yup. I have so many half written or barely started things that I love the ideas for but hate the beginnings. That's just cause I suck at starting them in the actual beginning. Gah.
We've written plenty of essays. But NO NARRITIVES.
What the heck?
Do you have problem with imagination?
Do you have a problem with the state of controlled insanity that brings about the beauty that is the creations of our young minds?
Apparently so.
Stupid administration butt-faces.
You could always try writing in the middle of the story first? And I know what you mean. The first chapter/sentence/whatever is always the hardest for me.Right now I have a mild case of writer's block. I mean, I have this cool idea in my head, but I have no idea how to develop it.

Happens to me a lot
I learned a while back that its best to just write...whatever is hitting you go with it, worry about begining, middle, end later. That's hard for a lot of ppl to do especially if you are the slightest OCD but take a walk on the dark side and try it. lol
I second the butt-face part. XD
I do sometimes. My problem is that I don't want to start it that way. I want to learn how to write around the block and become at least decent at them now, instead of putting it off. (wow, i really am OCD. :D ))
I have that in the worst of times. Like I'll get the perfect idea! And I'll be in the middle of church or something with no paper or pen or anything. It's horrendous.

LOL the dark side is very appealing right now XD And I sorta did that with Happily Ever Afterlife but I don't really like how parts of it turned out, and there's lots of plot holes. So now I have that mild OCD as well lol
Lol I wish. But then my parents would capture it to play on it and totally crash its battery.
perhaps you should just carry a small notepad and pen around with you everywhere...I hear some people like to do that just in case.
I've written on my hand b4. maybe not a whole like paragraph but like ideas or dialgue that I wanted to remember.
Nate wrote: "I've written on my hand b4. maybe not a whole like paragraph but like ideas or dialgue that I wanted to remember."Just dont wash your hands after XD LOL
I would but I have friends that enjoy stealing my things and reading whatever is inside. And my writing isn't exactly something I share often, despite what I've been told. But that's why I always have bits of paper and at least one pen in my pockets. :d I write down loads of things I want, and they're all over my desk at the moment. XD
Same dilemma: my friends are tormenting snoops. and my ipod doesn't record.
:s damn. I write on sheets of paper, that way I can write during class and no one even notices lol teachers think I'm taking notes.
I do that sometimes, I just grab a notebook and find a random page. Teachers never suspect the quiet one in the back. >:)
I do in... Almost every class thankfully. I hate the front, too frontal. The back is so much better. :D

LOL niceeeeeeee XD
Hey guys I'm thinking of putting up a writing contest AND a reading review/recomandation topic in this folder, what do ya guys think?
That's hilarious! Psh, my teachers don't usually sit in front of the room. They all have those dysfunctional Promethean boards.
I think I'll do the contest later on though, It's sometimes hard for me to remember that this is a group that's still new =)
That's cool. What sort of contest are you thinking of putting up?
writing contest, but not yet, which reminds me, I need to have a new/update topic for people who leave for a while brb
