If you have no idea what perimeter is then this is the discussion for you! Any questions about geometry here.

lol ok, thanks:1. Write the converse of the statement. If the converse is true, then write true. If not true, then provide a counterexample:
If x=4, then x^2(meaning x squared) = 16
And this one:2. The complement of an angle is 25 degrees. What is the measure of the angle?
a. 75 degrees
b. 155 degrees
c. 65 degrees
d. 165 degrees
Andrea (Dru) wrote: "yes it's true cause see X=4 soo if you multiply x (which is 4) times 4 it equals 16"ohh ok that makes sense! ty ^^
Complement means that adding two angles you get 90 degrees sooo if it asks you the complement of 25 then you substract 90-25 and the answer you get is the correct one.
you're welcome ;) and btw if it asks the suplement of an angle then its the same thing just with 180 degrees
ok, quick question here:(just pretend that "/" means angle since i cant find the angle symbolif / A and / B are supplementary angles and m/A = 4m/B, find m/A and m/B
so I get what it means by supplementary now but im not exactly sure how id solve this?
I got it, here's what you dom+ 4m = 180 (cause m is angle A and 4m is angle b and they're suplements so by adding them you get 180)
and then you get m, want me to explain how to do that too?
Oh ok I get it ..no I understand how to solve it now. thanks sooo much! :D I might actually pass Geo with ur help lol.
Major tip: Pay attention to everything. I had trouble absorbing the info and paying attention to geo and now Im paying for it lol.
Major tip: write EVERYTHING down. Every procedure, example, etc. Helps a lot. And it's really not that hard
okay so, I think this is the correct way to do it.....angle 3 = 37
angle 2 and 3 and supplementary so if you subtract 180-37 you get angle 2 and angle 2 and angle 6 are the same...so the answer to angle 2 is the same as angle 6
and this one (using the same diagram)2. Suppose that
= x + 12 and
= 3x – 36. Find x. Remember to include the variable in your response (ex. n=4). thank youuuu :)

so the answer would be 143? that seems a little large..but what do I know lol
ive been using this thread as a little "quiz session" and i passed!!! yay!!!!! (ps scarlet, wut grade r u in?)

okay soo here's how you solve this one
angle 5 and angle 1 are the same. So all oyu have to do is this
x + 12 = 3x - 36 and then you get the value of x
once you get the value of x you substitute them in each ecuation and you'll get the measure of angle 1 and 5 (the answers have to be the same)
Scarlet wrote: "what do you mean?"i mean im like terrified of taking AP geometry next year because ive seen some of the problems they do and sorta got really freaked out. but now i know that it isn't THAT impossible (no offense)

None taken. And this is just the first few lessons of Standard Geometry, so idk if it gets harder...I'm sure it does.
You like math and I dont, so this should be no problem for you! ^^
Scarlet wrote: "10th ^^ I should be in 11th, but my mom started me in school late. XD"me too!! i should be in 11th grade but here in mexico we start school a year later or something like that
