Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I'm torn between choosing a Catherine Mann's Code of Honor or Suzanne Brockmann's The Unsung Hero as a military/ special ops book for our May reading challenge. Both of them are authors that I've never read before. Does anyone have a preference for either author?

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments ✿Michelle✿ I've always liked Suzanne Brockmann. I haven't read and Catherine Mann that I can think of; I'll have to check her out.

Debbie (halfpint66) | 138 comments I love both, but I'd go with Brockmann.

message 4: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments Thanks ladies. I'll plan on going with Brockmann.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments ✿Michelle✿ What are you going to read? Maybe I'll plan/try to read the same thing?

message 6: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I'm thinking of reading The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann . A woman at the bookstore just raved about the Troubleshooters series. Have you read that one yet? I have more of her books, and could start with a different one if you want.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments ✿Michelle✿ For some reason I haven't read that one yet. Already marked The Unsung Hero on the challenge for May!

Goodie! I do better getting through my books when I'm reading them with someone :)

Debbie (halfpint66) | 138 comments I've read the whole series up to date. The Unsong Hero starts out kind of slow but it's well worth the read. The whole series just goes up from there.

Am I right in thinking there are 15 books in that series so far?

message 11: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (halfpint66) | 138 comments 16 books. The newest one just recently came out.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I've got the newest one on request at the library.

Debbie (halfpint66) | 138 comments To me, it's the best in the series.

I'm glad to hear it. The way the bookseller went on about the series, I was tempted to buy the whole thing. But I'm going to see if there are any books at a used booksale I'm going to, and then try to fill in the holes later. I like having a complete series. Especially if its one that the majority of readers seem to really enjoy.

Debbie (halfpint66) | 138 comments That's a good idea.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Man-oh-man! What can I say about The Unsung Hero? Only that I am LOVING this story. Some people said they didn't like the flashbacks to WWII, but I'm loving those too. Just getting ready to start Chapter 5. It is so good, I felt compelled to add the GR cover so it shows I have the paperback I own!

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 361 comments I have that one, too. It's been in the TBR for years. I guess I should drag it out and read it since I'm between books right now.

Aroma with Love i'll add it to my list...

I'm only up to chapter 2. I think its moving a tad slow for me, but I heard that the story gets really good. The very beginning was pretty exciting though. I hope it gets back to that sort of stuff.

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments Has anybody read Cherry Adair's T-FLAC series? I only read the first one which I thought was pretty good.

✿Michelle✿ I have read a lot of them - but not that one. Kinda hit or miss (not pun intended!). I should patch the holes in the series.

That's good to know. I'm thinking of picking that series back up again. I bought a box of her books probably a year or so ago, and I've only read the first one.

As you know, I have way too many books to get through (not that I'm complaining!). If you pick up one from that series any time soon please let me know. I seem to get through my books faster when I'm reading them along with someone.

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments Lora Leigh's Wild Card wasn't too bad. It's the first book in her Elite Ops series. After I read the first one, I went right out and bought the rest of the series. Although I think its one of those series that I'd rather not read back to back. Her heroes are extreme alpha's! I'd recommend Wild Card to anybody who's interested in that romantic suspense/ special ops stories that won't mind the more graphic sex scenes.

Debbie (halfpint66) | 138 comments I'm up to date on the Nauti series. I love it!
