Do you have a favorite book or author of all times?

It's hard to choose just one.... but Jodi Picoult would be my choice!

Cassandra | 1 comments funny someone recommended "Songs of the Humpback whale". I'm cheating a little because it is an audio book. Did you read this one? What did you think.

This was the one book of J. Picoult's that I didn't particularly like. This was her first book and I find that her writing improves a LOT as she writes more. Some of my most favorite books are some of her later ones. My favorites have been The Pact, Plain Truth, Nineteen Minutes, House Rules, My Sister's Keeper (much better than the movie!!) and I have heard that her newest one (The Storyteller) is one of her best yet! I haven't read this one though..... on my TO READ list!

Stephanie (stephanieberget) | 1 comments I'm a little late joining the conversation. I'm in Ontario, Oregon and my favorite author is Sarah Addison Allen and her book is Sugar Queen.
Anyone want to discuss it?

Jennie (hornplayr) | 1 comments I can't pick between Anne McCaffrey and J. A. Jance for a favorite author...I love them both! I alos really like Jodi Picoult. I haven't read any Sarah Addison Allen...I'll check out "Sugar Queen." Thank you for the recommendation. I also really love YA author Neal Shusterman.

I've never read this book nor anything else by Sarah Addison Allen. I may have to check her out.

Greg Borman | 1 comments My favorite book would probably have to be Battlefield Earth. I loved the way the epic nature of the story is presented and the apocalyptic nature of the setting. Of course, the way the hero gathers friends around him and overcomes insane challenges that keep coming one after another is also inspiring and just plain fun to read.
