This is the folder that we will use to talk about the Mortal Instruments series. K?

I have only read the first three books, but I loved all three of them. Jace is absolutely infuriating, but he manages to be attractive at the same time. I love him, and I hate his guts all at once! I like how Clary takes charge of her situation as well. Its nice that she can be independent.

LOL! Yes I think that about says it all. Allthough, I also liked Simon. He is sweet, in a sort of nerdy, brooding way.

Is there anyone that just started reading the series? I feel way behind. I am only on page 206 of City of Bones and worrying about seeing spoilers in this thread. Can I ask that people mark their comments if they have spoilers?

No, you're not the only one who feels behind *_* i've only read 2 books so far. i like your idea about marking comments that have spoilers.

Ok. Finished City of Bones and LOVED it. Now I am about 100 pages into City of Ashes and loving it too.

Another thing... I don't know why, but I think my favorite character is Simon. (view spoiler)[ I know he doesn't get much action in the novel, but he still has a big presence. And he absolutely adores Clary, which I like. He knows what he wants and is patient enough to wait for it. Plus, I thought it was very brave and clever when he shot out the skylight with the arrow. Luke is pretty cool too. I don't really feel much for Isabelle or Alec at the moment. And Jace is just, well, Jace. lol (hide spoiler)]

I really wanna read these books now...I just don't have time to go get them.

Wow. Just finished Chapter 15 and absolutely loved the last line of dialogue.

Those words were so full of the proper drama required for this moment.

I ordered #3 City of Glass. Hopefully it will be here by Wednesday. I am trying
to drag #2 out until then, but I doubt I will make it that long. I just cannot
put this Mortal Instruments series down.

There is a wish I have though. That Clary and Jace actually have 2 separate fathers
or sperm donors or whatever. Just, if I found out that they are not ACTUALLY brother
and sister, that would make me very happy. Because I was way happier with their
situation when they weren't freaking RELATED! That ONE plot line is nagging at me.
Making me feel like I am indulging myself a little on a soap opera of a book series.

I thought Alec was kind of cool in an aloof way. Though he doesn't really do much does he? LOL! Simon is my favorite guy character as well, simply because Jace is far too infuriating. Don't get me wrong; He's hot, but he's also irritating.
I need to read the fourth one, and then the Clockwork Angel spin off book.

Ok, I've been meaning to comment for a while, but I have been soooo busy. First, I guess I should say that I've read all of the books, including Clockwork Angel. I love them all. I think that it's my new favorite series. For me, it was no contest. I was instantly team Jace. Don't get me wrong. Simon is very nice, and I especially enjoyed seeing his character develop in the 4th book, but I just really like Jace. However, my favorite character is Magnus. I don't think any description I could come up with would do him justice. He is pretty awesome... and glittery :) Anyway, all of this discussion about the series has got me thinking that I'm going to have to reread the books.

I just tore through #2 City of Ashes. I think that is the fastest I have ever devoured a book and I really loved it. Now I am waiting for #3 to get here so I can continue. The waiting is driving me nuts!

Oh! I almost forgot about magnus! You're right, he is glittery... I really liked him too. Now I'm going to have to re-think my favorite character declaration...
