So... What did you think? Was it better than the first? Vise versa?

I liked it about the same. I liked the plot of the first one better but I was happy that Holly chose to continue Cassle with his friends at that same school. I really want the 3rd one to have him meeting more people who know his secret though, his own age. ????

White Cat has the big advantage that readers are seeing everything about this world and the characters for the first time. I think Red Glove definitely keeps up, though, which is a big accomplishment for a sequel. These are fantastic! Holly Black is a great pick for YA'ers who are getting vampire-d out but still want to read edgy urban fantasy.
I loved that even though there was romance in it, that Holly kind of dispelled that quickly and efficiently. I realy don't like romance and now adays you can't find any book without it. I am so happy also that it is something diffrent. No vampires. But there is still abilities for those who still can't stay away from the cartoon x-men. This is a nice, more mature, literary replacement for those cartoons. :)

At the end though of White Cat I was a bit nervous and I didn't know if I should read the next one. I'm glad I did though. Much better.
I loved them both. I'm not sure which one I love more which I think is a good thing. I am very excited for the next book.
I like this all the same as the first one but i kinda feel more in love with the first book because it's like you hold closer to the first time you read it. that keeps you wanting more.
I preferred the first book. White Cat was great; it reminded me of an AU-Ocean's 11 (btw, I love George Clooney :D). Red Glove was good, but there wasn't that whodunnit tension. Black tried to bring it back with asking the readers who Phil's murderer was...but in the end, the mystery really took a backseat to the meh side plots.
Personally I liked the second book(red glove) better, because I get to know Cassle's world better, get to know the inside of his worlds, get closer ups on the characters. I'm waiting for the third!!!
Personally, I read them all so close together that I didn't really feel like they were three distinct books, you know? I can't really say one was better than the other, they were just all awesome :)
I know that I'm late to this party, but oh. my. God. I LOVE this series!!My only complaint about Red Glove is that it wasn't as long as I would've liked; it seemed to end a bit abruptly. That said, it was still a fantastic book
I was definitely salivating for #3. ;-)
