Okay someone please help me understand something. I thought Alice could only see something once someone made up their mind about something. Like when Edward was going to Italy... she couldn't see what he was going to do because he wasn't sure. So how did she see that he was going to turn Bella into a vampire before they even started hanging out (if you read Midnight Sun you would know this)? How did she know? He hadn't made up his mind on that yet... he was against it from the start and Bella didn't even know what he was at that time...

But even if she was looking at Bella's future how would she see something like that? Did you read Midnight Sun? If not, this may be a spoiler...

Alice see's her turning... or dying, either way she sees it the day of the accident. Before he and Bella had even really talked. Before she knew what he was. So how... if Alice only sees what is going to happen after the decision is made did she see those outcomes?

then you could also ask how she knew that edward was going to love bella before he consciously knew it himself. sometimes fate is irreversible.

shouldn't she have seen the baby then? i mean she had to know they were going to have sex on their honeymoon... that's only normal (altho what is normal about them lol) i don't know i mean i LOVE LOVE LOVE the Twilight series and am in the middle of re-reading Midnight Sun and Twilight together for the 2nd time. i just don't see how she could be so sure of something that wasn't set in stone. i mean in all the books she says they have to have their minds made up before she can see the future so who made up their mind to have him fall in love with Bella or kill her or turn her.

No Stephanie only posted the first 12chapters on her website.... bummer huh? i wish it was finished. i wish it wasn't a stand alone book. i wish i could know what Edward was REALLY thinking about Jacob. or what he was thinking when they went to visit Renee... or what he was thinking when they got married or the first time they made love. what was he thinking when she met him out in that water? mmm... yummy lmao

Nvm, I found it. And I love how Edward's vocabulary is much more advanced than Bella's. lol it actually feels like I'm reading a normal novel instead of a kids book.

Okay, and I thought about the question...why Alice saw it so clearly that Edward would love Bella..

I think this is just showing the inevitable...that you do not choose who you love. You can't control it. You don't see someone and say "Oh, I want to fall in love with that person" It just happens. I guess maybe that's the only thing that is set in stone, everything else can change. Love is...it's so powerful and so confusing... I think it's the only thing fate has a hold on.

Wait is Midnight Sun Going to be out in stores or on the internet? I think Alice could see that because sometimes she sees things hat see know are going to happen like Bella becoming a vampire.

In answer to the first question, I think it was because Bella was going to go through with whatever happened no matter what, and her being changed was the only way it would work, so Alice would have seen that.

*spoiler* Samantha, Alice Can't see Nessie, like she can't see the werewolves, remember?

okay so she can't see Nessie... why is that? I mean she doesn't have werewolf in her... unless Bella and Jacob hooked up. Which we all know didn't happen. amd did anyone read what is on Stephanies website...
June 2008 Update: In response to the outrageous number of emails that I have received with questions concerning Midnight Sun, I talked to Stephenie this weekend and she asked me to let everyone know that Midnight Sun is her next project. She has not yet finished writing it (and there is no timeline set up, so we all need to put a lot of effort into being patient for a while longer), but she is definitely still planning on having it published. And, after Breaking Dawn comes out, Stephenie will have much more time to focus on writing Midnight Sun.

idk if that was b4 the leak or not but i will find out and she said that she can't see nessie bc she's never been half and half b4 she has been human and she is a vamp she has expenced those things she has never experienced being a ware wolf or half vamp half human

well she couldn't see nessie before Bella got prego or else she would have been able to warn Edward and Bella right? I mean it has nothing to do with Jacob or at least that's the way I thought of it.

I remember Alice saying (I think it was right before she ran away) that she couldn't see the half-breeds. The were-wolfs are half-human half-wolf. Renesmee is half-vampire half-human. and she didn't imprint, Jacob did.

She stated to Bella that when she was looking for the other half-human, half vampire, it was like she was chasing a blur. She couldn't see him, but she knew something was there that she needed to find. The same can be said with Nessie.

and I agree with a lot of u, she can only c something till their mind is made up, but sometimes they cant control something because it's fate, so the mind is already made up cuz it was made up FOR them so Alice could see that, like when she was waiting for Jasper to come to her before they met. How did she know they were ment to be? because it was FATE, her path was chosen for her which was to be with Jasper so therefore she was waiting for the day to meet Jasper because the mind was already made up for them. It's the same thing with Edward and Bella, they were ment for eachother, it was fate, their mind was made up for them and Alice could see that. They dont really have a choice, like wat someone else said, u dont decide things like who ur gonna fall in love with or how ur gonna die or anything like that. its fate that makes that up for u. So that's how Alice can see some things like that.

but u have to admit, i would luv to see alice and Edward play board games like chess.

I believe I've already heard someone state this before, but none of you really seemed to notice. It was in message 18 by meagan. Its not the fact that they are half and half that stops alice from seeing them. Its because Alice has been a human and alice has been a vampire. But, Alice has never been a werewolf or a half human/vampire. Its like if there were such things as oh...i don't know...like fairies or something. Alice wouldn't be able to see them either because she has never been a fairy. They explained it in the book too.

Which book was that in? I am in the Middle of Eclipse and I just finished reading the first 2 again. I don't remember it being in any of them.

Alice and Ed played chess, to be exact, it lasted 3 minutes. Alice could c wat edward was going to move next and he could read her thoughts so he knew where she was going to move next but finally edward knocked over his king so Alice won.

If Bella played chess with Edward, I still think Edward would have won! He still knows how 2 play the game still better than her.
